Cornea Ophthalmologist Location: Golden Valley, MN, 55427 Job Description A Cornea Ophthalmologist is a medical doctor who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions related to the cornea, the clear outer layer of the eye. MN Eye Consultants is currently hiring for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Float Medical Scribe. This position will be required to travel to all locations (Bloomington, Minnetonka, Blaine and Woodbury). Position Summary: The Scribe assists the Doctors of Ophthalmology and/or Optometry with documentation of the patient exam into the patient's electronic health record (EHR). The Scribe will also assist with facilitation of surgery and procedure scheduling and scheduling of return appointments as directed by the provider. Partners with other clinic staff to facilitate efficient clinic flow and ensure quality patient care. Starting pay is $18.50-21.00/hour. Schedule: This position works Monday-Friday with hours varying between 7:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday mornings on rotation 7:30a-12p. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Document patient exam in EHR, scribing all elements of the patient exam including contact lens template, procedure orders, e-prescribing medications and scheduling the return to clinic. Provide patient and family counseling/education as needed, including the creation of medication grids. Dispense medication and/or over the counter product samples as directed. Print and dispense glasses and/or contact lens prescriptions as directed. Review all chart notes and correspondence daily to ensure accuracy and completeness. SUMMARY The Elective Services Consultant works with surgeons, clinic staff members, and patients for growth of the elective service line. The primary responsibility is to educate patients on their elective care options and to increase the number of eligible patients that choose services by providing an exceptional patient experience and subject matter expertise. This individual is an educational resource for patients and is instrumental to the growth of elective services. ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Patient Care Coordination Provide exceptional personal service and attention to patients during their visit to the clinic. Talk to patients over the phone and in person about the benefits of our elective services. Explain the procedures and evaluation process in a manner that prepares the patient. SUMMARY The Surgical Technologist prepares supplies, equipment and instrumentation for each surgery performed in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). The Surgical Technologist will assist the physician with the maintenance of the sterile field and all supplies for each surgery. These individuals also assist the Nurse Manager in the maintenance of supply inventory. Starting pay is $35.00-38.00/hour. LOCATION/SCHEDULE This position will be based in Minnetonka and is 0.8-1.0 FTE (approximately 32-40 hours/week). Hours vary between 6am-4pm, Monday - Friday.
