Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Hospital (CABHH) delivers inpatient mental health services for children, adolescents, and young adults (ages 6-18) with serious behavioral and emotional conditions. Minnesota Specialty Health Services (MSHS) focuses on rehabilitative education, building interpersonal skills, and developing community engagement skills to increase each client's independence and self-management of their illness, behavior, and emotion.
The General Maintenance Worker position exists to minimize risk of spread of infection; maximize safety for staff, patients, and visitors; and to maintain cleanliness and orderliness of areas managed by CABHH, Willmar and MSHS, Willmar.
Responsibilities Include:
+ Implement a routine program for cleanliness of building at the facility so that the Department of Health, OSHA, and facility standards are met and clients reside in a healthy and safe environment;
+ Maintain supply and equipment inventory so that automated or mechanical housekeeping tasks are performed efficiently and timely with the proper equipment;
+ Arrange for repair tasks as assigned throughout the facility as to maintain quality housekeeping services;
+ Provide a safe and secure facility so that patients receive quality professional services in a therapeutic environment that is safe for patient and staff.
**Minimum Qualifications**
Knowledge of:
+ Different types of flooring/floor covering sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods, materials, agents and equipment.
+ Chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, bleaches, scouring agents and soaps sufficient to appropriately select the agent(s), handle and apply, and dispose of safely.

Information about the current openings:
This position provides ground and landscape maintenance of park grounds, structures, facilities, and the operation of related maintenance equipment. This position may require cleaning and removal of homeless camps, abatements, and other contracted services.
Hours and schedules will vary, weekend and holiday work may be required. Seasonal work (i.e. snow removal, rink flooding etc.) will require flexibility in work schedule. This is a year round position, however there is potential for seasonal lay-offs during the winter months. Employees in this title remain on City health insurance and receive unemployment during layoff periods.

Responsibilities
The Utility Field Operator is responsible for maintaining water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer infrastructure systems in the community. The primary position responsibilities and areas of impact are:
Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude to perform a variety of maintenance activities using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment including pickups, dump trucks, sewer suction and jetting trucks, skid steer loaders, backhoes, chain saws, chop saws, large air compressors and assorted air tools. Leads projects as directed.
Develops and applies specialized skills to the division needs in such areas as carpentry, welding, repair of equipment and infrastructure assets. Provides training in specialized skills to co-workers and seasonal employees. Looks for opportunities to develop and use technical knowledge to support the efficiency and effectiveness of utility operations.
Uses utility maps and construction drawings and performs division record keeping functions for daily workload and utilizes computer technology to assist in these activities.
Performs daily preventive maintenance and pre-trip Department of Transportation (DOT) inspections on vehicles and equipment.
Provides mentorship and on-the-job training to seasonal employees and monitors their performance.
Participates in Public Works snow-clearing operations as a snowplow route driver.
Maintains a valid Commercial Driver's License and an excellent driving record.

Completion of Water Utility Treatment and Technology courses in Water Distribution (40 hours) and Wastewater Collection (40 hours) are required of candidates with limited experience as determined by the needs of the division.
A minimum of one year of experience in utility operations, a related educational program or a related field performing similar work tasks or a minimum of six months of utility field operations employment with the City of Eden Prairie required (related work experience must be within the last five years.)
Experience with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
State of Minnesota Water System Operator Class D certification and State of Minnesota Wastewater System Operator Class S-D obtained within 18 months of employment required.
Erosion and Stormwater Management Construction Installer Certification obtained within one year of employment required.
Water System Operator Class C and Wastewater System Class S-C certifications obtained within 39 months of employment required.
Strong mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of computer technology is preferred.
Commercial Driver's License (CDL-Class A) with air brakes and tanker endorsement obtained within the first 11 months of employment required.
Must maintain a valid driver's license (must have excellent driving record).
Occasionally exertion of force in excess of 50 and/or up to 100 pounds to move objects or equipment accessories is required. Must be able to exert 20-50 pounds of force frequently to move objects.
