The Payroll Specialist is responsible for input and verification of employee data to support on and off-cycle payrolls. Specific duties to be performed are ongoing reviews to ensure proper computations (e.g., garnishments, time data, pay adjustments, benefit and general deductions, etc.), withholding (employee and employer taxes) and preparation of various remittances (e.g., direct deposit, general deductions, etc.), and resolution of payroll issues and concerns.
Job Description
What You'll Do:
Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior to maintain employee/company confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
Manage workflows to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Understand the various types of garnishments, calculations, and ensure compliance.
Maintain and verify changes for an employee's general deductions, garnishments, tax withholdings, direct deposit, automatic payments, and pay adjustment data.
Processing and validating special payments such as relocation, bonuses, deferred compensation, deceased, manual, etc.
Review wages computed (time data/pay adjustments/tax adjustments/deductions adjustments) and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
Understand the taxation of employer paid benefits, employee pre-tax deductions, and earnings with specific taxation methods.
Receive and respond to pay-related inquiries using discretion and effective oral and written communications with employees, HR locations, and outside agencies.
Keep current with new legislation and regulatory ruling impacting payroll. Assist with enforcing adherence and keep supervision abreast of possible situations for review and action.
Ability to identify and encourage continuous improvement measures relating to procedures, processes, and standardization within the team.
Identify and report issues to appropriate parties (e.g., management, HR, IT, etc.).
Actively participate and engage in the activities of providing the necessary support to test and validate the functions of the payroll system associated with maintenance packs (tax bundles) and system upgrades.

Overview

LOCATION

Primary Purpose of Position
The Senior Development Engineer is responsible for the development of Infrastructure Renewal and Building Upgrade & Improvement projects, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. The Senior Development Engineer, under direction of leadership, will support the identification and development of viable energy services and energy asset projects within the C&I and Federal spaces. Leads and performs engineering tasks for critical or complex projects requiring multidisciplinary knowledge. Designs large-scale lighting and water conservation projects with an emphasis on auditing, specification, energy calculations, and quality control of third-party design submissions.

Position Summary
The Provider Performance Lead is responsible for managing the performance of service providers across a variety of trades based on key performance inputs from various segments of the Field Operations business. As an aggregator of operational performance data, the Provider Performance Lead drives improved performance through proactive provider relationship management that focuses on delivering quality services to HOS standards. Summary of Responsibilities
This is an entry level position responsible for the accurate reading and maintenance of water meters for residence and business on Del-Co's System.
Essential Duties
Daily collection of reads from assigned meters and note readings which appear high or low
Process assigned service orders that include but is not limited to:
Double checks of collected readings
Meter and transmitter changes and repairs
Adjust crock and / or meter height
Advise customers of unusual usage and potential leaks
Assist customers with leak detection
Disconnect and reconnect services as needed
Collect final readings as needed
Turn off water services and hang door hangers.
Identify hazardous and / or unusual conditions at the meter installation. Repair or report to distribution.
Assists with landscape restoration work
Assist in the installation and repair of water lines, hydrants, and valves
Clean maintain and operate equipment, tools and trucks

The Town of Erie is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented undergraduate or graduate-level Transportation Engineering Intern to join the Transportation & Mobility Division within the Public Works Department. This part-time, paid internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in transportation engineering while working under the guidance of experienced transportation staff.
The intern will support various projects, including data collection and analysis, development review, signal timing review, pavement maintenance cycle analysis, pavement marking design, and other engineering-related tasks.
The internship is expected to run from September to December 2025, with the potential for extension based on department needs. A minimum commitment of 20 hours per week is required. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and may be eligible for college credit. All staff are expected to adhere to the Town's mission, vision and values of T.R.U.E.
