I'm the son of two Soviet immigrants - my mother is a classical pianist and my father is a technologist.

I grew up in the Bay Area, and started dozens of small businesses as a teenager - one of which (a music blog) I sold when I was 17.

I then joined the first class of Dr. Dre & Jimmy Iovine's program for Innovation at USC.

While in that program, I started Mira. We build augmented reality hardware & software, with a focus on building scalable and intuitive solutions for our users. Today, most of those users are in the enterprise & military. We've raised $9.5M from Sequoia, Founder's Fund, Marc Benioff, and others.

I am also a Sequoia Scout - meaning I invest in promising early stage startups on behalf of Sequoia.

Matt Stern is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer at Mira. He is also one of the thirty inaugural students in Jimmy Iovine and Andre Young's Academy for Arts, Technology, and the Business of Innovation at USC.

Montana Reed is a Co-Founder & CPO at Mira Labs and is based in Seattle, Washington. He has worked as Creative Designer at Lucky Day App. Montana works or has worked as Co-founder at //*, VR/AR Researcher at MxR, and Virtual Reality Development at Create Advertising Group. He studied at University of Southern California between 2014 and 2018.

Technology generalist at the core, with an emphasis in AR/VR prototyping and novel project execution. Experienced in user-centric HW+SW product development with a demonstrated history of work in the advanced technology and integration industry. Skilled in realtime video and image capture, processing, and distribution, Unity Engine + C#, Node.js, AWS, DevOps principles, electrical engineering, rapid manufacturing, and quick to pick up anything. Business development professional with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from the Iovine-Young Academy for Arts, Technology, and the Business of Innovation from USC.
