Summary / Purpose of Position: This position's primary responsibility is to efficiently and effectively receive, process, prepare, price and sell donated goods. The thrift associate will support the sales floor, fitting room, cash register, back of house processing and/or receiving areas as required, depending on the needs of the store as determined by the supervisor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Receive donations in a courteous and professional manner from our valued donors and truck drivers. Ensure all donated goods are properly sorted, priced, and staged for sale in a timely manner. Work with a sense of urgency to consistently meet production goals while ensuring quality. Assist truck drivers and customers in the loading and unloading of donated goods. Prepare and rotate crates in and out of processing areas to ensure efficiency of production. Summary / Purpose of Position: This position's primary responsibility is to shepherd a high performing team to ensure that the thrift store operates in a productive and positive manner. Success is defined by meeting or exceeding sales goals for both Gross and Net income through Christ-centered personal demonstration and leadership of all store employees in their assigned tasks and responsibilities. Implement pricing strategies appropriate to current supply and demand trends to ensure sell-through. Evaluate inventory needs and oversee ordering merchandise and supplies from warehouse and vendors. Demonstrate and promote a Christ-centered store environment, encouraging exceptional donor/customer engagement and customer service, promptly greeting, assisting and thanking all donors and customers. Control and manage payroll and operating expenses in compliance with the annual operating budget. Resolve all employee, donor and customer concerns in a timely and respectful manner. Ensure inside and outside areas of the store are neat, clean, organized and free from any hazards. Ensure that employees follow proper store cash handling procedures, store funds are secured and cash reconciliation with sales receipts, daily sales records and reports are maintained and properly recorded.
