MiraMed: A Global Services CEO and leadership

Tony Mira , President & CEO of MiraMed Global Services, established his first healthcare services company, Anesthesia Business Consultants, in 1979 in Michigan. In 2000, Mr. Mira founded Ajuba International with offices in both the US and India servicing outsourcing needs of health systems, hospitals and medical centers. In 2003 and 2004, Mr. Mira acquired and consolidated two Chicago-based healthcare revenue cycle management companies and established MiraMed Revenue Group. In 2005, Mr. Mira founded MiraMed Global Services (a global healthcare Business Process Outsourcing company) as a parent company of which all acquired and established entities became a subsidiary. In 2007, Mr. Mira acquired a west coast revenue cycle management company and did full integration with Anesthesia Business Consultants. In 2012, the MiraMed Philippines Group was establised in Manila, Philippines. Mr. Mira is also an investor in and/or board member of MediSens, AlertWatch, Greenhills School (Ann Arbor, MI) and 2014 Honorary Chairperson of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Michigan.

Sue Mira serves as Chief Operating Officer for MiraMed. Ms. Mira has been an administrative director at MiraMed for over 20 years. She is responsible for overseeing contract negotiations. Her expertise in developing the business and building client relationships provides a strong foundation for the company.

Alan Sugerman is Chief Financial Officer for MiraMed. He is an experienced senior level finance executive with CFO, Treasury, CIO and ‘Big 8’ consulting experience working with both public and private companies in the health care and insurance industries. Mr. Sugerman has over 20 years of health care experience providing expertise and support to organizations on mergers, acquisitions or exit, rapid growth, building infrastructure, improving performance or bridging a leadership skill or capacity gap. Prior to joining MiraMed Allen was CFO at Emergency Medical Associates, a $170 million physician staffing company. Sugerman received his MBA from Claremont Graduate University and is a Certified Public Accountant, as well as an active member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and American College of Healthcare Executives.
