Through a spectrum of residential options on its 37-acre Chicago campus and in the community, and with a wide variety of programs, Misericordia currently serves more than 600 children and adults residentially, from diverse racial, religious, and socio-economic backgrounds. Twenty percent of our residents either come from poverty families or have no families and are wards of the State. Misericordia Heart of Mercy is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for adult residents who need care during our PM shift, 3-11pm. Misericordia: DSP Position Overview & Career Benefits: For our DSP role we are looking for individuals who are able to be very hands on in supporting and working with our individuals. This position requires high energy, stamina and strength in addition to great patience and ability to support individuals needing a higher level of behavioral support. The ideal candidate must be dependable, compassionate and have a passion for helping others. Our paid extensive training program will equip you with the necessary knowledge to provide high quality care to our residents. Our PM shift offers an exciting opportunity to experience activities, outings and events off campus with residents. As a PM DSP, you will aid in residents' quality of life by participating in activities that will enhance and develop your relationship with residents.
