Work Related Knowledge: Knowledge of and the ability to perform locksmith and multiple trades skills including electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and other minor construction and repair tasks. General knowledge of electrical power distribution, power generation, emergency electric systems, and electrical control circuits. Working knowledge of practical application of basic electronics and mechanics. Familiarity of national and state building codes. Ability to read work plans, blue prints and instruction/operation manuals. Knowledge of and proficiency in the use of all types of power tools and equipment. Education: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school. Experience: Five years of recent (within the last fifteen years) multiple trades experience that includes locks, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and other minor construction and repair skills in an educational or institutional environment. Completion of an approved apprenticeship program in multiple trades in electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, and other minor construction and repair skills.
