Miso Robotics CEO and leadership

I am a veteran software CEO and entrepreneur. For the past 25 years, I have served as the chief operating executive in early-stage tech startups and as a division head in public company roles. My background has always centered around scaling software companies and building them into rapidly growing, efficient organizations. The key areas of my focus include:- Driving growth- Assembling high-performance teams- Making companies operationally efficient- Defining and executing a Go-To-Market plan- Packaging, preparing and executing a capital strategyMy operating experience spans all functions of a software company, from product, engineering, all elements of go-to-market as well as all finance and administrative functions. My background is made up of equal parts strategy and execution.I have extensive experience in raising capital for early-stage ventures. I have worked with a great many companies, in formal and informal roles, packaging and preparing for a fundraise, running a process, and scaling a company post-capital. I have led a variety of corporate transactions including debt, venture debt, seed, angel, growth capital, institutional equity, and strategic investment. Throughout my career, I have run both ends of the M&A process. multiple times.In the operating roles that I have held, my sweet spot revolves around organizing leadership teams, defining success using operating metrics and establishing a culture for success.

I believe in continuous learning and improvement and I believe in driving decisions with data. I do my best to instill the same in those that work below, aside, or above me.Sat down at a computer at the age of five and haven't gotten up since.

Kevin manages Miso’s finances including fundraising and accounting. He also serves as the CFO of Wavemaker Labs, a robotics and automation-focused corporate venture studio that incubated Miso. Prior to this, Kevin spent time at Denim.LA, Deloitte Consulting, American Airlines, and Elegant Sports. Originally from Huntington Beach, California, Kevin earned an MBA from the UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, and a degree in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.

Christopher Kruger joined Miso Robotics from iRobot, where he led the team that developed a large-scale cloud-based robotics simulation platform for Roombas and other home robots that improved software quality and speed. Among his many accomplishments at iRobot, he also coached the team that delivered the largest autonomous robot product launch, Roomba i3+, with the highest quality to date based on a metrics driven approach.

Prior to iRobot, Kruger worked at Hewlett Packard Inc. (HP) where he was the Senior Director of Workflow Engineering. He was responsible for forming a new engineering team that was focused on data science and machine learning to develop workflow analytics and intelligence. While at HP, he helped establish a secure development life cycle (SDLC) on devices for Enterprise and Government customers. Kruger’s experience in high volume consumer and commercial products and agile leadership aligns with Miso Robotics’ goals and vision to build the connected commercial kitchen of the future.

Jake oversees products, innovation, and marketing at Miso. He brings leadership, operations and product development experience from the restaurant and food service industry. Most recently, Jake was VP of Restaurant Excellence at CKE Restaurants, the parent company for Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurants, where he led multiple functions including restaurant innovation, engineering, ops commercialization/analytics , and field training. Prior to CKE, Jake led teams at Kroger and Yum! Brands in corporate and field operation roles. He has a degree from Purdue University in Industrial Engineering.
