A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
As a Registered Nurse (RN), you play a vital role in our clinic. Without you, we would not be able to fulfill our purpose! You provide total care for our residents, starting with carefully monitoring their condition and needs. You follow physician orders to administer medications and treatments, ensure the narcotic policies and procedures are followed, monitor for side effects, and report any changes in the condition of residents. You also oversee the nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff to make sure that resident care plans are being followed.
With a close eye for detail, you complete documentation as well as admit and discharge residents. You take great care to report any bruises, skin tears, or neglect that you find when caring for your residents. You live up to the trust of those in your care by maintaining confidentiality and following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) requirements as well as upholding our facility policies and procedures. Your warm and friendly demeanor makes it easy for you to provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and your colleagues. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Responsibilities
The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills, within the scope of practice, that meet the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care, and meets the communication needs of the patient and family; Performs under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and triage process in the ER setting.

The LicensedPracticalNurse (LPN) provides direct and indirect patient care services within the scope of practice, utilizing technical and manual skills. The LPN delivers high-quality care that addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general needs of patients while effectively communicating with patients and their families. This role functions under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN).
Responsibilities
* Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities, within the LPN scope of practice.
* Perform indirect patient care tasks, including documentation, care coordination, and assisting with patient education.
* Observe, report, and document patient status and changes to the supervising RN.
* Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, families, and staff.
* Support the RN in implementing and evaluating individualized patient care plans.

Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
