    Under the supervision of the HHPS Associate Director, the Housing Case Manager I is responsible for serving households who are at the highest risk of becoming homeless or who are experiencing homelessness. Is also responsible for ensuring households who received Housing Focused Case Management will have a successful connection to one or more community resources like legal services, mediation, public benefits and/or behavioral health services from program enrollment to program exit. Will also provide administrative financial and record keeping functions. Location(s): MNC Evans Campus ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES Primary Functions Conduct an initial problem-solving conversation with each household seeking services. Identify creative solutions to prevent or quickly resolve homelessness. Develop and implement Housing Stability Plans in collaboration with the household. Follow up and refer non-eligible households to an Access Point of other type of financial, housing assistance, or other resource as appropriate. Refer and connect households in need of mediation or legal services and advocacy to relevant services, as appropriate. Provide Housing Focused Case Management to all households seeking services and make connections (resources and referrals) with other programs and organizations. Provide translation and interpreter services as needed. Complete a Housing Stability plan, including basic household budget, for all households receiving Housing Focused Case Management services Ensure households remain stably housed from program enrollment to program exit. Ensure households who received Housing Focused Case Management will increase their monthly income from program enrollment to program exit. Provide budgeting and money management assistance and/or connection to related services that support housing stabilization. Facilitate appropriate external referrals and serve as liaison to assure connections with support services that are consistent with client needs. Input data into required systems for reporting and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual narrative program reports. Maintain all confidential eligibility documentation in appropriate systems as well as in hard copy. Provide outreach, engagement and follow-up with individuals referred to in the program to assure continuity of housing services. Conduct case monitoring to ensure participants remain stably housed, increase their monthly income, and are successfully connected with one or more community resources, from program enrollment to program exit. Provide means for the served population to provide input, using a written annual survey to gather feedback and assess the effectiveness of services and systems within the program. Provide monthly, quarterly and annual reports summarizing the contract activities, accomplishments and challenges encountered. Organize and provide relevant workshops. Enter required metrics in databases. Other duties as assigned. Customer Service Provide exceptional customer service. Always represent the Company in a professional manner. Safety Maintain personal safety, use personal protection equipment (PPE) and follow Company policies. Report all and any safety issues, accidents or injuries to your manager as a matter of priority. Position Qualifications Requirements Education : Bachelor s Degree in Education, Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or related field or equivalent work experience. Experience : Required 6 months experience working with clients from a low-income or impacted background, including but not limited to clients suffering from homelessness, domestic violence, and covid recovery. SF ERAP experience is a plus, ability to provide services to diverse population, ability to work independently. Schedule Requirement: 40 hours a week Monday through Friday. Must be available periodically on evenings and weekends. Requirements: Current CA Driver s License, current auto insurance and a clean driving record. Fingerprint Clearance (DOJ/FBI) Language(s) : Bilingual English and Spanish, preferred. Skills and Abilities: Independent thinker, possess excellent customer service skills, professional attitude, a high level of personal integrity, maturity, and business judgment required. Curriculum follows ongoing 8-week cycles throughout the year. Coordinate, supervise and implement on-site daily activities including, but not limited to cultural enrichment, academic support, college & career exploration, health & fitness, social justice, youth leadership, and vocational training. Legal staff counsel internal clients on a wide variety of regulatory, compliance, and risk‑management matters. The office currently comprises seven individuals: the General Counsel; two associate general counsels; two counsels; a legal and compliance officer; and an executive assistant. About the Position This full‑time employee reports to an Associate General Counsel and will provide legal advice and support to the Foundation focusing on corporate and technology‑related matters, including data privacy, intellectual property, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (AI), contracts, and general corporate governance. This will include reviewing and negotiating technology contracts; serving as the primary legal partner for the Information Technology (IT) and Facilities Operations departments; supporting technology projects to improve the processing of grants and contracts; providing thought leadership within the Foundation and within the nonprofit sector on legal issues related to technology, particularly, AI; and leading/advising on projects to keep the Foundation's policies and procedures up to date with the law and best practices. This lawyer should have corporate transactional experience at law firm(s), and specific experience advising on data privacy, intellectual property, cyber security and/or AI. Experience with the nonprofit sector is preferred, and experience working in‑house is desirable but not required. Strong interpersonal, communications, and client service skills are extremely important, as are abilities to prioritize and balance projects with differing issue areas and stakeholders. Title and compensation are dependent on years of applicable experience. Responsibilities Support for IT and Facilities Operations A core responsibility of this position is to act as primary counsel to the foundation's IT and Facilities Operations teams, providing day‑to‑day legal counsel on technology procurement, cloud and software agreements, licensing, and internal policies and procedures. It is anticipated that this set of responsibilities will take approximately 45 percent of the lawyer's time. Cross‑Functional Collaboration The other core responsibility of this position is to act as counsel collaborating with other members of the legal team on technology contracts, software utility and enhancements, grants processing, and related compliance matters. It is anticipated that these responsibilities will take approximately 40 percent of the lawyer's time. Specific duties include: HR: Support compliance in HR systems (ADP, Everfi, online training platforms). Finance: Advise on financial systems (Concur, Stampli) and contracts. Grants Management: Partner on Salesforce/Grants Management System, DocuSign, and data integrity. Contracts: Support workflow design and compliance documentation. Programs: Advise on grants pertaining to artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies. These duties may include: Keeping abreast of changes in technology law and regulations to ensure the Foundation remains compliant and knowledgeable about changes in the legal landscape and can anticipate future opportunities and challenges. Designing and conducting training sessions and process guides for the General Counsel's Office and other Foundation staff. The ideal candidate should have law firm experience doing a range of technology transactional work. Nonprofit/exempt organization experience is preferred, and in‑house experience is desirable but not required. Experience adapting complex legal advice to create practical processes and guidance materials for clients, including in‑house users.
