Functions as the first line interface with customers and is successful in the accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in PI/ QC activities. Assists in Maintaining Performance Improvement Program. Oversees radiology area and/or staff in Managers / Directors absence. Maintains department supplies. Promotes teamwork and good customer service. Does scheduling for assigned sub departments and maintains supplies and equipment for assigned sub department. Responsible for Processing and transmission of Images to PACS. Qualifications 1. Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.2. Job Summary: Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph. Job Requirements: Education and Work Experience: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Radiography (ARRT-R): Required Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA and HI Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA within 6 months of hire Facility Specific License/Certifications: Fluoroscopy (FLUORO): Required Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS): Required Essential Functions: Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation.
