QUALIFICATION/BASIC JOB REQUIREMENTS: A high school diploma or GED. Valid South Dakota drivers license and commercial drivers license. Experience in building maintenance or driving/transportation preferred. Must maintain up to date training and certification. Demonstrates job responsibility, regular attendance and punctuality. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Sweeps, mops or vacuum classrooms daily. Keeps all the floors clean and in attractive condition. Cleans corridors after school each day and during the day if required. Scrubs, mops, and disinfects toilet floors daily. Cleans all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily. Does minor repairs to building and grounds as needed. Assist in snow removal when needed and keep the grounds mowed and raked in the summer. Observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses and obey all traffic laws. Keeps assigned bus clean and inspect the buses to insure safety of passengers. Keeps to assigned busing schedule. Maintains discipline when students are on the bus. Other duties may be assigned. OTHER FUNCTIONS: Inspect and initial all fire extinguishers regularly and conduct monthly fire drills. Submit quarterly and incident reports and logs to the building administrator.
