* Assist the Director of Public Safety as needed consistent with the policies and goals of Mississippi College.
* Communicate effectively and regularly with shift personnel including the Shift Supervisor.
* Respond to incidents on the campus that include, but are not limited to fire calls, medical calls, and vehicle accidents.
* Complete electronic incident reports, accident reports, and medical reports.
* Control building and room lock down / opening procedures as put forth by the Office of Public Safety and/or Event Services.

Job Description Summary
Consultants generally spend their time in the Writing Center assisting any walk-in students who may need help with essays and writing assignments. Consultants will help answer writing-related questions as well as address development, grammatical, structural, or documentation issues with papers. On occasions, consultants will also help work with teachers when specific students have special writing needs. Consultants will also reply to any online essay submissions.
Hours of Availability
Generally the Writing Center is open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday. Applicants should be able to work a three-hour shift sometime within this time period.

Responsibilities
The School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Delta State University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Music who specializes in applied piano and music theory. This is a nine-month, full-time, tenure-track position. A full teaching load is four courses per semester.
The successful candidate's primary responsibility will be in teaching undergraduate courses in Music. These courses will be applicable to general education and to program such as Arts Entrepreneurship and the Music concentration in Secondary Education. The faculty member will be expected to offer courses in group piano, music theory, and aural skills, in addition to providing piano lessons to undergraduate students.
The faculty member will be expected to serve as a collaborative pianist for faculty recitals and other campus events that involve a pianist. The hire will collaborate closely with colleagues in the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences, the Delta Music Institute, and the band and choir programs.
The faculty member will also be engaged in scholarship, provide service to the school, college, university, and profession, and exhibit collegiality as part of the tenure and promotion requirements.
Delta State University is a SACSCOC-accredited public university with an enrollment of approximately 3,500 undergraduate and graduate students. The campus is located in Cleveland, Mississippi, in the center of one of America's most culturally rich and ethnically diverse regions.
