Missouri Athletic Club company history timeline
More than 3,200 members enrolled prior to the Club’s opening in September 1903.
With a prestigious athletic staff as its foundation and building on the 1904 Olympics, the MAC became a strong member of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). Club athletes won Olympic medals and national AAU events over the following decades.
The club decided to construct a new building in its place, which opened in 1916.
In 1987, the MAC began awarding the Hermann Trophy to the United States's top male and female college soccer players.
In 1995, the MAC bought the Town and Country Racquet Club in West St Louis County.
In 2000, the MAC was awarded "Platinum Club" status for the first time.
The West Clubhouse was re-renovated for $8 million in 2003.
In 2004, a major expansion/renovation was completed at the West Clubhouse.
