Coordinates with the Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs) to ensure scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, calibration, repair, and maintenance services are completed. Responsible for resourcing, maintaining and recycling PMI to support contingency operations for patient movement. Duties include using DMLSS (Work order/Inventory/Logistic software) and overseeing the performance of preventive maintenance and repair on the equipment of the PMI center Supports the in-transit patients to exchange in-kind PMI without degrading medical capabilities and provides prompt recycling of PMI. Ensuring medical equipment assets are available for patient treatment,tracked and recycled to medical treatment facilities and Area of Responsibility. Use the Patient Movement Items Tracking System (PMITS) for asset visibility and tracking of PMI to provide accurate information to allow proactive aupport to deployed organizations. Perform initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, general maintenance and repair of medical and general support equipment (medical package tools and equipment, i.e. generators and environmental control units) within Operating Expense and Maintenance (OEM) guidance. Maintains the technical literature library and test equipment inventory ensuring resources are up to date and accurate at all times. Complies with AFI 41-201, Managing Clinical Engineering Program; AFI 41-209, Medical Logistics Support; and DODI 6000.11 which governs Patient Movement.
