As a member for the Feed Production team, the Mixing & Batching Operator is responsible for operating machinery including mixers, extruders and grinders in the feed production area.

This is a full-time role with benefits (Vision, Medical, Dental 401K Matching, PTO etc.)

What is the job?

Reporting to the Can Plant Production Manager, the Ink Mixing Technician will be responsible for supplying presses with ink and varnish to meet customer expectations. This new facility uses a waterless technology and is the first of its kind in North America!

What will you do?

Use a scale to blend inks and varnishes to an exact quantity.

Maintain ink and varnish inventory.

Keep ink room clean and orderly.

Ensure all inks and related chemicals are properly labeled and stored.

Delivering ink, varnishes, and dies to presses.

Troubleshooting ink and varnish problems as they may arise.

Assist with training new hires on the proper use of inks and coatings.

Follow established safety policies and procedures.

Work with other departments and maintenance personnel on projects and/or validations.

Requirements

A proven strong eye for color differentiation

Strong understanding of metric units of weight

• Includes all steps of production from receiving raw materials to providing solutions for production lines.
• Performs PM's and simple maintenance tasks.
• Contributes to continuous improvement of process and systems.
• Interfaces with multiple departments to coordinate smooth flow of products for production.
• Maintains all required documentation according to company specifications and GDP.
