About the Team
Mixpanel's Global Payroll team ensures every employee across the U.S., Spain, the U.K., France, India, and Singapore is paid accurately, timely, and in full compliance with local statutory requirements. About the Role
The Senior Global Payroll Manager will own and oversee global payroll operations across all entities, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll delivery for all employees worldwide. This role will provide strategic leadership for payroll administration, systems, compliance, and reporting, while also building scalable processes that support the company's growth.
Reporting to the Controller, this leader will act as the senior subject matter expert for payroll, partnering closely with Accounting, HR, Legal, and IT to deliver excellence in payroll operations. Partner with Accounting to ensure all close activities are completed accurately and on time; develop dashboards and KPIs to provide leadership insights.
Lead and support audit readiness for all payroll-related audits (internal, external, and government), ensuring accurate documentation and successful outcomes.
Lead payroll projects including system implementations, global compliance expansion, and compliance initiatives.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing payroll team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Bachelor's degree in a related field required

7+ years of progressive payroll experience, with at least 3+ years managing a global team and payroll operations across a global business.
Experience with Paylocity, UKG, and/or other similar global payroll systems.
Experience leading payroll system implementations and integrations with a bias towards automation whenever possible.
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; ability to analyze large data sets and create reporting dashboards.

Data Hygiene: Ensure all data generated and used by the Marketing and AI SDR/ BDR teams is accurate, closely managed, and regularly purged. Manage relationships with data vendors and services. Develop and enforce data governance policies to maintain data quality and compliance with data privacy regulations.
Marketing Automation and Campaign Execution: Work with marketing teams to create, execute, and automate multi-touch marketing campaigns, including email marketing, lead nurturing, and lead scoring. Implement marketing automation workflows to nurture leads through the sales funnel specific to each marketing segment.
Operational Efficiency: Establish and own marketing operations processes to streamline workflows and improve overall departmental efficiency. Continuously assess, manage, and optimize existing processes, systems & technology to adapt to evolving business needs and industry best practices.

Budgeting: Manage the marketing budget and spend forecasting process; monitor expenditures, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to budgetary constraints.
Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead a high-performing marketing operations team, providing guidance and mentorship to 5 team members globally.
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
14+ years of relevant experience, with proven experience in a senior marketing operations role, demonstrating successful project management and process optimization.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from marketing data.
In-depth knowledge of marketing technology and the ability to manage and integrate various tools. Salesforce, Hubspot, Qualified, Looker, Google Analytics etc
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management and development.

The amount listed below is the total target cash compensation (TTCC) and includes base compensation and variable compensation in the form of either a company bonus or commissions. Variable compensation type is determined by your role and level. In addition to the cash compensation provided, this position is also eligible for equity consideration and other benefits including medical, vision, and dental insurance coverage. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level and are benchmarked to the SF Bay Area Technology data cut released by Radford, a global compensation database. The range displayed represents the minimum and maximum TTCC for new hire salaries for the position across all of our US locations. To stay on top of market conditions, we refresh our salary ranges twice a year so these ranges may change in the future. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, job-related skills, qualifications, and other factors.
