Powercor is seeking a best-in-class Project Manager - Controls, willing to roll up their sleeves and exude a passion for the field!
The Project Manager works with stakeholders to set project goals and objectives. They are also charged with identifying and procuring necessary resources, estimating project budgets, setting project scopes and schedules, and wrapping all that information into project plans. They provide leadership by building project teams and motivating them to hit project milestones. They participate in building and training project teams to expand their capabilities by establishing best practices, policies, PM methodologies, quality assurance and control, tools, and templates.
What you will do…
* Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policies. Put these in clear concise work statement for the field
* Effectively supervise staff in the day-to-day administration of a job, potentially supervising two or more Project Managers in their daily tasks
* Direct the pre-construction planning process, accurately scope length and difficulty of tasks, develop schedules, anticipate and adjust for problems and roadblocks
* Procure and coordinate materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maximize project profitability
* Proactively monitor costs and react to variations quickly ensuring financial success
* Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations, project safety and foster professional relationships with subcontractors
* Maintain customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and assigned staff
* Read, review, and follow project related documents such as blueprints, drawings, project scope, budgets, deadlines, and sequence of operation for proper execution requirements
* Train and effectively supervise Project Managers in the company philosophy and systems
* Represent company/project in meetings with clients and subcontractors
* Prepare monthly costing reports
* Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client
* Successfully maintains an acceptable rate of project savings compared to estimated budgets
* Directs a team consisting of control specialists, installers, engineers, programmers, and office staff for each assigned project
* Develops Control system implementation plan for the customer's situation and issues
What you will need to succeed…
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or construction field preferred and/or 1 to 3 years of experience with Project Management in engineering, BMS/BAS, HVAC, construction or critical facilities operations
* 1 to 3 years of experience with Project Management in engineering, BMS/BAS, HVAC, construction or critical facilities operations
* Experience in installation of building controls or low voltage systems preferred
* Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical fields
* Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
* Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel etc.) and other software to include Bluebeam, BIM360
* Experience with Project Management Software Platforms to include but not exclusive to, Procore, Cx Alloy, TouchPlan
* Excellent communication, presentation, training, and technical writing skills
* Proven track record of completing jobs on schedule, being self-motivated and achieving full customer satisfaction
* Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver projects successfully and profitably
* Ability to document system changes, RFIs, Change Order requests effectively
* Knowledge of strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, and staff coordination

The HSE Safety Specialist is routinely responsible for displaying the ability to set exemplary standards of professionalism, ethics and integrity in all aspects of this role, to support company philosophy and policy, function as a team player, exercise good judgment, and set the overall tone for safety culture. Locally spending most of your time in the field, daily this role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient and productive work environments, and working with all field and management staff to mitigate risk, coordinate critical safety needs and ensure compliance with company, client-specific, federal, state, local, and OSHA regulations.
What you will do…
Maintain open and proactive communication with staff, clients, project managers, and executive management regarding safety matters
Lead and facilitate safety communications programs, including safety committees, toolbox talks, and lunch-and-learns
Develop site-specific safety plans in collaboration with project management teams
Develop safety plans for electrical outage work
Verify LOTO procedures are being followed
Conduct on-site safety audits and risk assessments, identify hazards, and recommend improvements
Respond calmly to unplanned situations, ensuring effective communication with relevant parties
Manage the procurement and logistics of safety equipment across multiple client locations
Participate in coaching and disciplinary actions related to safety as necessary
Assist in gathering information for RFP/RFQ processes
Manage and maintain the team gear database, including locks, harnesses, and PPE
Prepare all safety-related reports and documentation
Stay informed about evolving safety trends, regulations, and legislation
What you will need to succeed…
Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, or Safety discipline
5-7 years of related experience
NFPA 70E electrical background, knowledge and hands-on experience of Arc flash boundary requirements and Arc Flash PPE are required
Ability to read one-line diagrams to ensure lock out is being safety completed
Knowledgeable in OSHA, safe work practices, PPE, Confined Space, LOTO, hot work, fall protection, lifts, and trenching regulations and compliance
CPR/First Aid certified; additional certifications (MAWPs, PIT, ASP, OSHA 10, 30, and 500) are highly desirable
Experience teaching/training, orientation, onboarding, NFPA and OSHA 10 and 30
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet navigation
Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, maintaining a professional demeanor
Ability to manage and lead entry level to senior safety personnel
Ability to travel 50-75%

The Billing Specialist is responsible for invoicing assigned accounts, assuring they are submitted timely, accurately, completely, and in accordance with established billing processes or procedures.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Researches and resolves invoices that are incomplete and unable to be billed.
Prepare various types of billings, which can include lump sum, time & material (T&M), cost plus, retention, etc. for submission to customers. Ensure that billing records are accurate and up to date.
Assist in achieving and maintaining corporate goals with respect to billing metrics.
Review data, report and identify issues. Take necessary steps to communicate or resolve the issues with customers and operations teams.
Develop and maintain rapport with General Contractor or customer to ensure timely payment.
Collect and track required lien releases and help facilitate other compliance documents
Work with A/R Specialist to help facilitate collections.
Review billing status of ongoing projects to ensure month-end cutoff dates are met.
Generate and review various reports and perform customer and vendor account reconciliations
Interface with project team to investigate and resolve issues to ensure jobs are billed accurately and within the appropriate time frames.

The Field Safety Specialist exhibits advances competencies and is responsible for administering the job site safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role will report to a Safety Manager or Senior Safety Manager and will need advanced safety competency knowledge to support technical safety programs and procedures for project requirements.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Lead regular walk-through inspections of construction areas (Upwards of 80% of the Job is spent in the field doing audits and interacting with the crews). Daily communication with project management and field leadership is essential.
Anticipate, identify, document, and recommend a resolution of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions; follow through to ensure corrections have been made.
Direct injury investigation and incident events.
Contribute to job pre-task planning and job site safety meetings.
Review the three-week look ahead with field leadership to identify training opportunities and high-risk work.
Ensure procedures are followed for LOTO and first-time energization at the project site.
Review Step by Step and MOPS (Method of Procedures).
Understand project one-line diagrams.
Understand NFPA 70E guidelines (Approach Distances, PPE requirements, and Battery Systems).
Compile and assess safety data, photographs, etc.; prepare pertinent forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, and local regulations associated with accidents
Issue various entry permits (i.e., to confined spaces) as required
Assist in emergency rescues as required. Maintain fire protection equipment and systems.
Conduct awareness-level training and new hire orientations

The Estimator I is responsible for preparing and completing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The Estimator controls the construction costs by collecting and studying information, evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring they know what is required to successfully bid and win the project.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work and enter into computer estimating system; review computer printout for accuracy and completeness.
Request quotes from suppliers for equipment and materials.
Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes. Review quotes for completeness with plans and specifications
Itemize and quantify all incidentals necessary in preparing the bid packages including sub-contract work, equipment rental, tools, and supplies
Prior to the issuing of the formal bid package, provide the Chief Estimator with a detailed review of scope, technical requirements, and pricing for the estimated bid package.
After the successful bid at project turnover, meet with Project Management to fully explain the estimate, scope of work, quotes and offer aspects for the successful transition of the project.
Responsible for the timely completion of all client-required documents.
Draft scope letter inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates
Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures

The Procurement Team Lead will manage a work group responsible for the procurement of engineered equipment, commodities, permanent plant materials, and small tools and supplies. This position is a ‘working manager' role that will execute contractual obligations while providing oversight, support, and mentorship to Procurement Agents and Sr. Procurement Agents.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Monitor, evaluate, and mentor working team on meeting or exceeding performance goals and expectations.

The Technical Project Manager I is a mid-level project management position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. Provides overall project management support for several small to medium projects or one large project supporting senior project management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The Project Manager I is a mid-level project management position responsible for overseeing projects from planning through completion and ensuring client satisfaction by delivering unparalleled service. Provides overall project management support for several small to medium projects or one large project supporting senior project management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Plan and organize a project under the direction of a Senior Project Manager and/or Division Manager.
Supervise and direct project activities, including assigning tasks to Assistant Project Managers, planning, coordinating, circumventing/resolving problem areas, and maintaining all company/project policies, procedures, standards, etc.
Provide project management expertise to establish initial client contact. This will include the assessment of the scope of work, schedule, and resources necessary to complete a project successfully.
Responsible for preparing a complete estimate for the selected project with a detailed review of plans, specifications, and bid form.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within the guidelines of corporate policies.
Supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project. Negotiate all change orders on the project.
Monitor construction activities with the onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.
Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under supervision.
Supervise the preparation of all change quotations for presentation to the prime client and assist in negotiating all change quotations to a conclusion.
Prepare monthly costing reports under the supervision of a Senior PM or Division Manager.
Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationships with the client.
Review any documentation prepared by Assistant Project Manager before submission.
Represent the company in project meetings under the guidance of PM II or Sr. Project Manager.

The Senior Safety Coordinator is a mid-level safety professional responsible for assisting in administrating job site safety programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment. This role will report to a Safety Manager or Senior Safety Manager and requires the development of independence in managing safety requirements for the project.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Conduct regular walk-through inspections of construction areas (Upwards of 80% of the Job is spent in the field doing audits and interacting with the crews)
Identify, document, and recommend a resolution of hazardous/potentially hazardous conditions; follow through to ensure corrections have been made.
Participate in job pre-task planning and job site safety meetings.
Review a three-week look ahead with field leadership to identify training opportunities and upcoming high-risk work for the project.

Ardent is seeking a motivated Geospatial Technician to support data conversion, collection, and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree or equivalent coursework in GIS, or equivalent work experience, along with at least 1 year of experience in GIS.
