WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Installing and servicing physical security systems/platforms, including CCTV, access control systems, intrusion detection, communications, and many other low-voltage systems. Diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues. Training/mentoring others within the team. Working as a valued team member on projects/installations to deliver quality results to our customers. Maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application on client engagements. Working with trades and subcontractors assigned to projects. Serving as a lead tech on smaller projects/installations. WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM: Minimum 2+ years of experience with the installation and service of enterprise-level physical security systems and platforms (Access Controls, CCTV, Intrusion / Burglar, etc.) Proficiency in all device installation, headend equipment, cabling, and ability to connect them to the network. Basic understanding of networking and programming. Ability to oversee and train others on device installation. Demonstrated ability to use test equipment to verify installation. Ability to troubleshoot basic issues across various enterprise-level systems. Ability to obtain appropriate licensure. Strong written and oral communication skills. YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; utilize personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to potentially hazardous materials, lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; be able to handle semi-frequent stressful conditions (cardiovascular), frequently work in outdoor weather conditions, frequently move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, occasionally ascend/descend a ladder, operate a motor vehicle, frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed. On-call for critical systems maintenance may be required. First shift hours Monday - Friday, with occasional 2nd or 3rd shift and weekends depending on project schedules. Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies : AAA/TACACS, ACL, ARP, BGP, DHCP, Ethernet, ICMP, IGMP, IPv4/IPv6, LACP, LLDP, MPLS, NAT, OSPF, PIM, QoS, RIP, SNMP, STP/RSTP/MST, VLAN, VRF, and other related technologies. Experience using troubleshooting tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, and IXIA. Strong Linux command-line and scripting familiarity (Python, shell, etc.). This team is responsible for the electronic displays and guidance systems for the tractor. This system controls many elements of the tractor including the implements connected to the back of the tractor and also controls many portions of the auto guidance autonomous functions They have had an increase in work on this platform and do not have enough people on the team to come through on the timelines over the next few years. The specific project that this team will be working on is setting up the foundation for the display to be changed over from an Android/Java based display to a QT, C++, Linux Display. Much of the work will be rewriting applications from Java to C++. A portion of the work is re-coding to C++ and other portion is re-architecting to C++. Much of the middle layers of the application have to be redefined and redeveloped (from business logic to UI). They are looking for Software engineers that can do object oriented and multithreaded embedded application development.
