Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The Mechanic must be physically capable of performing tasks that require standing, walking, bending, climbing, and kneeling for extended periods. LANDSCAPE FLEET & EQUIPMENT MECHANIC With the guidance from the Fleet manager, mechanics service and repair all company vehicles, mowing equipment and construction equipment while operating within the budget guidelines and according to EMI standard operating procedures. Job duties may include fluid and filter change, brakes, tune ups, suspension work, welding, and vehicle electrical work. The mechanic should possess the ability to diagnose problems, document work and have reasonable verbal communication skills. Must possess a valid driver license and the working knowledge of basic hand tools. Responsible for vehicle operation, equipment operation and adherence to EMI established safety procedures.
