Responsible for developing predictive models to provide modeling solutions to Discover's business partners. Designs and develops models, utilizing machine learning and other algorithms. Presents the results of mathematical modeling and data analysis to management or other end users.
Responsibilities

Our corporate operations, business development, communications, and policy teams support Running Tide's front-line workers in scaling our interventions to tackle humanity's most urgent challenges: restoring ocean health and combating climate change.
We're looking for a Geochemical Modeler to work with our R&D team on designing and modeling carbon removal solutions utilizing an Ocean Alkalinization Enhancement (OAE) pathway. The Geochemical Modeler will apply their knowledge of ocean chemistry to design interventions and understand intervention impact at whole-Earth scale using computational models. This is a full-time salaried remote position with the option to work locally in Portland, Maine.
You Will:Perform hands-on modeling for carbon sequestration via marine carbon dioxide removal technologies (i.e. Ocean Alkalinity Enhancement, macroalgae cultivation) Contribute to the design of carbon sequestration strategies by demonstrating intervention impact using computational models Guide the development of laboratory and field experiments to enhance Running Tide's knowledge of ocean chemistry Contribute to Running Tide's Ocean Modeling PlatformWork with leading ocean and climate models like MITgcm
You Are (or You Have):A recent PhD or postdoc, or industry equivalent, in chemistry, oceanography, or related field with an emphasis on quantitative and model-based techniques; knowledgeable of and fluent with research-standard models and tools.Experience with reactive transport modeling, marine geochemistry, fluid-rock-gas interactions Experience investigating chemical reactions between atmosphere, rock (or other porous media), and seawater brine interface In-depth knowledge of the ocean carbon cycle An Earth-system perspective of geochemical cycles Fluency with Python and Object Oriented Programming paradigms Eager to collaborate with a fast-moving team and support large-scale carbon sequestration initiatives

Systems Planning and Analysis modeler job description
MCR/SPA has an immediate need for a Systems Modeler SME located at Hanscom AFB, MA.
Demonstrate expertise in the use of Cameo Enterprise Architect to create SysML diagrams to capture mission thread, requirements, and architecture information. Create templates for use in capturing information necessary to populate SysML models as needed. Develop model structure, taxonomy, orthology, and any other applicable model attributes, leveraging enterprise architecture frameworks such as DoDAF and UAF as appropriate. Assist other program office teams and personnel with integration into the digital environment. Convert SysML models developed in other applications into Cameo Enterprise Architect. Establish traceability between data in Cameo and Enovia, including the use of appropriate middleware as needed. Interface with all aspects of the Program Management Office (PMO), the End User community, and key stakeholders representatives to report project findings and status. Create, review, and provide input to acquisition program artifacts including requirements, program plans, milestone documentation, and system models.
Required Qualifications:
+ BA/BS in technical field (e.g., engineering, computer science, or similar) required, master's degree desired.
+ MUST have an active US Secret security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
+ Minimum 6 years of experience in SysML model creation. 3+ years of experience with Cameo Enterprise Architect highly desired.
