Family business. Will understand if you need help. Great benefits

I looked over the companies web site
Modern has increased compensation with the times. Their benefit package is superior to most other companies.
The office staff could use more minority representation
They are assisting me with my education so I can advance.
The diversity of business (4 divisions covering many industries) means so many different types of roles are available - also was a key thing for me because layoffs almost never occur...Several years back I worked at another manufacturer in Erie who had GE as their main customer- and when GE slashed production in Erie by 1/2, this other company laid so many of us off. Companies who put all their eggs in 1 basket, in 1 Industry, in 1 manufacturing process - are at the mercy of that 1 industry. So I used the fact modern has many divisions as a key reason for coming on board 2 years ago. I lasted through COVID - so you know that means I made the right choice!
They could pay better...but I understand they’re not this massive multi-billion dollar company with IPO stock options... they’re a medium sized private family owned business.
Learning so much. I mean I came in with zero manufacturing experience and through my ability to step in & take on other “hats” when needed, I was give. The chance to prove I’m a quick learner. I don’t have a college degree, attending 2 years only - and right now (knock on wood) I advanced to a level where all my colleagues are college graduates . Kind of cool. Some companies put way too much weight on a college education. I’m glad I got the chance to prove my worth without needing a degree.
