Position Description
The Senior ElectricalEngineer reports to the Engineering Supervisor for the Data Center colocation sub-vertical. She/he works within the Engineering Department to design, develop, and document electricaldesigns within the scope of products manufactured by the Data Center team. This position will be responsible for the development and transfer of technology including but not limited to documentation of products that span across Climate Solution Regions (Americas, EMEA, and Asia).
Key Responsibilities
* Design and maintain proprietary electricaldesign systems for data center cooling products. Creation of electrical wiring schematics, panel/terminal layout drawings and wire loom documentation.
* Participate in design meetings and communicate with the project coordinator, design team members, and application engineers.
* Coordinates the panel-build and line wiring for prototype and production units with internal or external employees.
* Diligently consider all aspects of product operation in the design of an electrical/control system, including product compliance, product enhancements and safety-related issues.
* Incumbent has contact with project engineers, project coordinators, plant engineers, operations personnel, component/equipment suppliers, fellow control engineers, etc.
* Liaise with both project leadership and mechanical engineering personnel to create structured product configurable super BOMs for placement of selected electrical and control parts.
* Instructs, explains, leads design group relating to the controls and electricaldesign of the product.
* Exposed, but not limited to, the following areas: AC drive applications - pumps and EC motors, power distribution, switchgear, sensors and transducers.
* Coordinates aspects of a given project which include project scheduling to meet project dates, purchasing components, evaluating new products, preparing manuals, and maintaining a project design file for permanent records.
* Continually enhance skills and knowledge through on-the-job training and external seminars. Stay abreast of new developments in electricaldesign and apply that knowledge towards the technical enhancement of Modine machinery and processes.
Required Education & Qualifications
* College graduate in electricalengineering or related technical discipline with 5 - 10 years engineering experience, or a master's degree in engineering, a related technical discipline, or business, in lieu of experience.
* Knowledge and application of applicable electrical codes; NEC, UL (UL1995, UL60335, UL508A), IEC and CE.
* UL508A Panel Build experience preferred.
* Obtain/maintain UL508A MTR Certification.
* Experience in electricaldesign of data center cooling equipment preferred.
* Some experience/knowledge of PLC controllers, RS-232/RS-485 interface, and Modbus Protocol preferred.
* Well versed in MS Office Excel, Word, Power-Point, etc.
* Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent.
* Must be able to travel to suppliers, and job sites as necessary (15-20%).

Work cross‑functionally with various teams to understand RF measurements, requirements and issues. Assist in setting up different RF measurements at various stages of product development.
Define test plans, procedures and maintain regulatory specifications.
Support the development process by scoping and developing test methodologies required to validate new and existing product capabilities.
Support the design and development of test automation.
Review proposals and requirements specifications to assess compliance based on existing unit capabilities vs development needs.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a strong combination of RF engineering, system design, and will thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Bachelor's degree in electricalengineering, RF communications (or an equivalent qualification) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
Fundamental RF measurement knowledge including cascaded device analysis and link budget analysis.
A solid theoretical and practical understanding of RF communications. Should be well versed with different RF test instruments and have a good understanding of operating principles of these instruments.
Solid understanding and experience in regulatory certification of devices according to FCC and EU regulations.
Basic understanding of cellular protocol and cellular carrier certification requirements for all major US carriers.
Effective communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

**The Role**
The Senior Analysis Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing one-dimensional models of electrical components, subsystems, and full vehicle architectures for 12V/48V electrical systems. This role requires a deep understanding of vehicle-level electrical systems and proficiency in simulation tools such as Synopsys Saber. The senior analysis engineer is also required to have experience is co-simulation and software in the loop (SiL) modeling using tools like Matlab, Simulink and Simscape. The analysis engineer needs to closely work with suppliers to get high fidelity 12V component models (e.g battery, IBS, aggregator, CCU etc).
The analysis engineer will create systems model, perform simulation, interpret and present simulation results to stakeholders at critical program milestones. + Lead effort to develop new analysis capabilities for 12V/48V electrical systems including, but not limited to, developing 12V battery model, 12V distribution model, aggregator model and other electrical components on the vehicle
+ Develop physics-based models for co-sim and software in the loop effort
+ Develop vehicle electrical and battery electro-thermal models to support virtual controls for Co-Sim and calibration initiatives

The Role
The Senior Analysis Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing one-dimensional models of electrical components, subsystems, and full vehicle architectures for 12V/48V electrical systems. This role requires a deep understanding of vehicle-level electrical systems and proficiency in simulation tools such as Synopsys Saber. The senior analysis engineer is also required to have experience is co-simulation and software in the loop (SiL) modeling using tools like Matlab, Simulink and Simscape. The analysis engineer needs to closely work with suppliers to get high fidelity 12V component models (e.g battery, IBS, aggregator, CCU etc).
The analysis engineer will create systems model, perform simulation, interpret and present simulation results to stakeholders at critical program milestones. Analysis engineer will be required to interact cross functionally with a wide variety of engineering teams (Electrical Architects, Co-simulation teams, Validation, Calibration and Design Release Engineers) to deliver standard work, perform root cause analysis, compare analytical results to tests, identify analytical gaps and lead capability projects to close these gaps.
What You'll Do
* Lead effort to develop new analysis capabilities for 12V/48V electrical systems including, but not limited to, developing 12V battery model, 12V distribution model, aggregator model and other electrical components on the vehicle
* Develop physics-based models for co-sim and software in the loop effort
* Develop vehicle electrical and battery electro-thermal models to support virtual controls for Co-Sim and calibration initiatives
* Perform standard analysis to deliver design solutions which are robust and reliable utilizing optimization and statistical methods when appropriate
* Collaborate with global analysis engineers to ensure on time delivery of high-quality results
* Lead and conduct peer reviews of analysis results prior to delivery to the product team
* Work collaboratively with Electrical Architects, SiL teams and component hardware design teams to ensure system requirements are met, design concepts are evaluated, and development and validation plans are successful
* Collaborate with other CAE teams to capture and integrate higher fidelity models into electrical system models
* Support critical vehicle program gates with technical reviews (PPDRs, VVAs, Peer Reviews)
