Explore life at Fortune Brands here Job Description The Sr. Materials Planner will interface with suppliers to place orders and ensure the timely delivery of products to our manufacturing sites and distribution centers. The successful candidate will own product category throughout the network and will work closely with Demand Planning, Operations, Customer Service, Sales, and Logistics teams. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders and report metrics that drive continuous improvement, high on time fill rates, and a streamlined workflow in a dynamic fast-paced environment. The Planner will support master schedule execution and customer service. Location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL (3 days in office). Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. DUTIES & RESPONSIBLIITIES: Maintain system item master data and optimize material flow. Run Auto PO Jobs, release purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials. Plan and direct the flow of raw materials into manufacturing and between internal DCs. Expedite delivery of goods to both internal and external customers. Analyze and resolve root causes of material availability gaps to customer demand including alignment with the inventory team in maintaining safety stocks and reorder points. Lead Supplier Report Card monthly review and elevate concerns as appropriate. Support master schedule by planning production based on customer needs. Work directly with Sales and Suppliers to execute Hospitality projects. Support new launch and transition initiatives by correctly setting master data to support service and execute with suppliers to launch new products on time. Lead planning actions to reduce SKU complexity and reduce obsolete material by proper life cycle management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related fields preferred. Experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of 6+ years of relevant Material Planning, Scheduling, and Supply Chain with MRP/ERP experience. Strong customer service skills including oral and written communication skills. Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking skills. Experience with MS Office Suite. Advanced Excel required. Must be able to multi-task and be detail oriented. Be able to work independently with minimal direction. PREFERRED QUALIFCATIONS: SAP ECC Planning Experience. Experience with QlikView and/or Tableau Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
