Duties and responsibilities:

Leads development of design concepts for clients/projects
Interfaces with clients on design issues and develops architectural solutions
Develops budget, task schedule, and other components of the project work plan
Manages project design decision-making process and collaboration to advance design concepts
Directs preparation of drawings to create and document architectural designs
Ensures timely and effective management and delivery of drawings
Manages design analysis and compilation of specifications for basic to complex architectural assignments
Manages coordination of outside disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical and other consultants
Reviews building codes and conducts zoning analyses to ensure that designs comply with minimum legal standards
Facilitates knowledge of current graphic standards and building construction methods
Guides and monitors production workflows activities on projects; conducts project technical and design reviews
Performs other duties as requested by leadership
Staff Development:
Encourages staff exploration and innovation to achieve project design excellence and continual improvement
Leads office design reviews and critiques
Acts as a mentor by coaching and motivating design teams and individuals; fostering an environment of mutual respect and trust among members of the group as it grows and develops
Assists in preparation and delivery of design staff evaluations, responsible for performance development and workload allocation of junior staff
Fosters and maintains a collaborative professional working relationship with management and project team members
Participates in interview process
Involved in appropriate professional and client-oriented organizations, maintains active memberships and attends conferences and activities

Qualifications:
Professional Architecture Degree; Masters of Architecture preferred
Registered Architect
10 to 15 years of architecture and design experience
Commitment to design excellence
Collaborative and self-driven work ethic
Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and sustainable practices
Interest in working at all scales of design and planning from regional systems to details
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe CC Suite

Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee commissioning activities for substation projects, ensuring compliance with engineering and operational standards.

An opportunity exists for a Senior Bridge Engineer based out of Baton Rouge, LA; New Orleans, LA; Nashville, TN, or Jackson, MS. Your Key Responsibilities
* Serve as a technical specialist and consultant to transportation engineering disciplines on transportation-related projects
* Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of reports and the development of project design elements including calculations, plans, specifications, and estimates
* Identify and analyze the principal design features and major design alternatives that satisfy the project's purpose and the client's needs
* Produce detailed, high-quality final design plans, specifications, and estimates in accordance with applicable procedures and standards

We are seeking a Project Manager for our Energy & Resources business line to lead multi-discipline project teams in the execution of THERMAL GENERATION PROJECTS. The project scope will be for either Owner's Engineer or Detailed Engineering/Design services for simple cycle, combined cycle, and/or repowering projects. The Project Manager will provide leadership to these state-of -the-art projects to support business line growth and consistently deliver projects successfully.

Qualifications

* Engineering design and construction experience with power plant projects.
* Expertise in Project management including, team leadership, resource management, scheduling, project controls, reporting and document controls.
* Strong leader and team player, collaborator, and communicator with strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing a team.
* Project management experience in leading projects utilizing various delivery models such as EPC (Engineer Procure Construct), DBB (Design Bid Build), ECI (Early Contractor Involvement) etc.
* Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering services related to energy projects.
* Experience in business development, proposal, and budget development.
* Demonstrated leadership competencies.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to work across multiple offices and geographies.

This position will offer you the opportunity to work in a project team environment and lead other engineers and designers using your knowledge of engineering and design practices to: + Prepare/Review construction sketches and work packages for: + Overhead and underground distribution facilities (4 KV through 38 KV)
+ Pole loading analyses
+ Voltage drop and flicker calculations
+ Cable pulling
+ Bill of material
+ Cost estimates
+ Joint use coordination
+ Traffic control plans and/or permit drawings
+ Support preliminary project scoping.
+ Perform field work, when necessary.
+ Support maintenance and recapitalization of distribution components.
+ Plan modifications to the system as well as designing and overseeing complex tasks.
+ Provide construction support, when necessary.
+ Conduct client communication and interaction, when necessary.

Essential skills and experience:
+ This position requires an Associate's degree in a design-related degree, or a 4 year non-engineering degree.
+ 6 or more years of experience with electric utility distribution or relevant experience to be able to review work by others.
+ Knowledgeable in physical distribution design methods and their application.
+ Knowledgeable in applicable codes, standards, and distribution software programs including AutoCAD, ArcGIS, PoleForeman, etc.
+ Familiarity with design codes and standards such as NESC, NEC, ANSI, IEEE, GIS/GWD.
+ Experience with complex overhead and underground distribution projects (120/208V through 38 kV).
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Able to lead a project team.
Valued but not required skills and experience:
+ Experience in utility distribution inspections and/or construction.
+ Familiarity with various distribution design/analysis software.
+ Familiarity with GIS software.

+ BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.

+ Experience working directly with clients on transmission lines from 69kV through 500kV.

Essential skills and experience:
This position requires a BSME or MSME with a strong academic background and interest in thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, power engineering, turbomachinery, thermal systems, and energy conversion
Knowledge of the practical application of mechanical engineering and technology including applying systems, principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to a project design
Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans, fabrication drawings, and models
Strong interest in numerical computations and problem solving
Proficiency with MS Office applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A BS or MS degree from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
Related engineering internship or co-op work experience
