JOB DUTIES:

- Responsible for operating, troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing filling and packing machine, batching equipment, and other plant equipment

- Monitor all running equipment to assure normal running parameters, set points, etc.

- Knowledge of equipment in bottle conveyors, man-lifts, pallet jacks, forklifts, package conveyors, line lube, water processing, electrical, case coders, bottle coders, and compressed air systems, etc.

- Perform quality checks on products

- Participate in execution of preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance on machinery

- Perform changeovers to include changeover parts set-up, planning and improvement - Conduct cleaning of filling and packing machines and related equipment

AM Shift Machine Operators (Production Techs): 2-2-3 schedule (5am-5pm)

PM Shift Machine Operators (Production Techs): 2-2-3 schedule (5pm-5am) .50 cent shift differential on nights!

AM Machine Operators- 5 days per week 3am-3pm

PM Machine Operators- 5 days per week 3pm-3am

PM Machine Operators- Monday-Saturday 5pm-5am

Job Title: Injection Molding Machine Operator
Job Type: Temp to Hire
Location: Blaine
Shift/Hours: 2nd Shift: Option 1: Hours are 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday thru Thursday with option for OT on Fridays (but not required). Option 2: Hours are 6:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Monday thru Thursday with option for OT on Fridays (but not required).
Career Level: Entry - will train
Salary: $18 per hour ($1,000 sign on bonus after 90 days)


Description: 1. Responsible for taking measurements through-out the day with hand held calibers.2. Responsible for following the work instructions for each job and packing out the boxes correctly – count and labels.3. Responsible for running the press to the dedicated cycle times.4. Responsible for notifying their shift lead or QA of any quality issues.5. Trimming is required using Exacto knife or small hand tools6. Responsible for keeping their area clean.7. Additional responsibilities may include helping at another press while their press is in the setup phase, helping to get supplies for other presses ie., more boxes, tape, etc., helping to trim plastic parts that run auto, etc…
Requirements: 1. Previous experience in manufacturing is helpful but not required
2. Open to learning
3. Punctual -Attendance is critical – arriving before the shift starts and being at their assigned press is day by 6:45 is important.

Physical Requirements: 1. Able to stand for long periods of time
2. Able to lift up to 50lbs (Lifting is primarily limited to moving the full box of injection molded parts from press side to the pallet at the end of the press – not much distance, but boxes can weigh upwards of 30+ plus pounds.)
3. Able to operate a machine and it's components
4. Use hands for cutting, eyes for inspection, finger dexterity, kneeling, stretching, turning, bending, twisting at some point thru the day but not all day long

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Machine Operator produces rotational molded parts in accordance with process parameters, changes out molds, and maintains acceptable levels of scrap and productivity; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.



Responsibilities

  • Loads molds with resin in accordance with prescribed material specifications and weight
  • Removes molded parts from the molds and monitors part temperature
  • Uses feedback from production helpers inspecting product to drive process improvements to reduce scrap and improve productivity
  • Maintains safe and clean operations by adhering to safety procedures and company 6S requirements.
  • Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
