Produces parts according to procedures and standards by operating presses and by inspecting and trimming, coding and packaging.
Processes parts according to procedures and standards for assembly by operating sonic welder, bonding with adhesives, and by coding and packaging.
Follows established job instructions to produce product according to specification.
Gauges quality of parts by detecting and reporting defective material and recording scrap.
Maintains cleanliness and organization of the work areas by executing and enhancing the defined 6S duties.

Job Description
Skilled tradesperson who creates and prepares molds for the casting of metal castings and tools. Responsible for shaping sand or other materials into molds that will contain molten metal during the casting process. This ensures precision and quality of the final metal product.
Mold Preparation: Prepare and shape sand or other mold materials, ensuring accurate dimensions and proper alignment.
Coremaking: Involved in creating cores, which are internal cavities within a mold, to form complex shapes in the casting.
Pattern Handling: Working with patterns, which are replicas of the desired metal part, to create the mold cavity.
Equipment Operation: Operation of various tools and machinery, including hand tools, pneumatic tools, and machinery for packing and molding.
Molten Metal Handling: Involved in pouring molten metal into prepared molds.
Quality Control: Inspection of molds and castings for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

Molding Machine Operator Position Summary:
Operates injection molding machines according to specific schedules and procedures. Prepares mold inserts and reviews molded component integrity. Molding Machine Operator employees will work in a clean and sterile environment!
Molding Machine Operator Duties and Responsibilities:
This list is not comprehensive but meant to represent the most common or important duties of the position. Other duties are required and/or assigned
Remove molded components from the mold once the injection molding machine has finished its cycle
Prepare cores and mold for next cycle
When applicable test parts during the injection molding machine cycle to predetermined specifications
Inspect parts for overall integrity while the injection molding machine is cycling
Maintain quality and efficiency standards
Use of manual and semiautomatic fixtures
Complete paperwork accurately and legibly
Cross-functional training required
Follow instructions and procedures accurately and precisely
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be 18 years or older to apply.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, and interpret technical procedures in English
Ability to effectively communicate in English
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply concepts of basic math
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to see items 1/32" or smaller, good eye-hand coordination, ability to handle repetitive tasks.
Lab coats, hair nets, beard covers (if applicable), and shoe covers must be worn
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.
Equipment Used: Injection molding machines, compressed air guns, manual and semi-automatic assembly fixtures, computers, barcode scanners
Special/ Additional Requirements: Persons in this position may be required to pass a drug, alcohol, and/or criminal background check.

Answers press alarms to maximize press efficiencies.
Transfers scrap and runners to the grinding area.

Reviews procedures to ensure compliance and reports discrepancies to Supervisor.
Reports processing problems to appropriate delegate for resolution. Meets all quality, quantity, and Good Manufacturing Practices to satisfy customer and Regulatory requirements.
Operates scales, document's correct part quantities and weigh up. Operates manual molding machines, trims parts off runners, separates runners, signs cleaning documents.
Maintains a neat and orderly work area to ensure efficiency and no safety hazards.
Starts and understands Line Clearances, reviews paperwork for proper documentation to comply with GMP procedures.
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
Must be detail oriented and have good manual dexterity and math skills Computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel) preferred.
Knowledge and experience in use of mechanical and electronic measurement and test equipment preferred. Mechanical ability and aptitude necessary.
Education requirements can be obtained through an educational institution or gained through equivalent work experience.
Ability to read engineering or mechanical drawings preferred. Time management, communication, fast pace and multi-tasking abilities.
Must be organized and able to manage multiple tasks to complete all work by the end of the shift.
Works with minimal supervision regarding routine tasks. Good decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
