Summary
The Social Services Intern will assist professional staff in providing comprehensive social services and case management to clients. This role offers hands-on experience in client interaction, documentation, resource referral, and participation in team meetings to support the social, emotional, and physical well-being of clients. The intern operates under the direct supervision of a Licensed Social Worker (LCSW or equivalent).
The clinical intern participates in a learning experience designed to develop confidence and competence in specific clinical skills. The internship program assists students in gaining experience and knowledge in an area of studied practice.
Job Description
The clinical intern discovers enhanced ways of communicating and supporting patients, learning what it is like working as a certified professional in their field, while following a real schedule. Depending on setting, performs administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a licensed provider or registered nurse. Embodies the vision and values that are compatible with Sanford Health. The intern functions within the scope and standards of practice as outlined in state specific regulations. Assists in the completion of projects and administrative duties delegated while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. Attends training and development opportunities, learning about various processes and functions within the organization.
Qualifications
