POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will provide process engineering technical expertise to Technical & Production. As a Driver, you'll play a vital role in delivering our products safely and efficiently to various stores and warehouses. Our focus on safety and timely deliveries is paramount, ensuring our customers receive the quality products.
Responsibilities and duties:
Ensure compliance with procedures and regular safety checks of your equipment (tractor, trailer, pallet jack, etc.) to always guarantee safety.
Completes daily field service activities, including preparing receipts, truck logs, and maintenance records.
Performs all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch.
Job Specific Requirements:
Must have a CDL-Class A license and having two years of proven safe driving experience.
Preferred direct store delivery experience (DSD).
You must successfully pass our drug test, MVR, and background check.

What You'll Need as a Driver CDL:
Customer-oriented attitude, providing excellent support to key customers.
Minimum one year of safe driving experience with no serious driving convictions. DOT requirement to check the last 10 years.
Familiarity with Occupational and Safety Health Act (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, as well as local, state, and federal requirements.
Basic understanding of temperature-controlled food transportation.
Proficiency in using a smart phone or tablet and electronic logging device (ELD) for logging positions and driving times. Able to use a scanner and log deliveries.
Flexibility to adapt to changing routes and working schedules.
General knowledge of vehicle mechanics to communicate problems and perform basic repairs if needed.
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and varying temperatures.

Compensation
The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $54,200.00 to $81,400.00.

The Government Account Representative (GAR) is an outside sales role. You will penetrate all assigned accounts to develop relationships to achieve profitable revenue growth within your assigned geography. The GAR partners with established sales and service teams and contract owner(s) to grow sales among large local government, higher education, primary education or federal customers. This role will call primarily on the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. The compensation is tied to the established sales targets and other account management tasks. The GAR will make 4-6 quality, revenue generating calls per day. You will report to the District Sales Manager, Gov't.
You Will
* Maintain an understanding of government contracts.
* Determine and prepare the appropriate "Grainger Value Proposition" to each account and review how Grainger can add value and help with each account's purchasing needs.
* Create a territory plan that optimizes call routes, maximizes time in the field and ensure you are building a sales plan that meets shared performance targets.
* Maintain account and customer contact and record follow up details in Grainger's CRM (Salesforce).
