PURPOSE
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team to ensure efficient and accurate interpretation of ECG data and delivery of data to Physicians and allied professionals while also exhibiting excellent conversational skills with Customers and Patients. Must be able to pass ECG interpretation proficiency exams and effectively work with proprietary web-based software applications to perform essential job responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze and interpret cardiac rhythms with proficiency and evaluate for notification criteria and proper documentation
Receive inbound phone calls from Healthcare professionals or patients and utilize appropriate soft skills to ensure a quality interaction
Will create, review and send Notification Reports, Daily Reports and End of Use Reports as needed
Follow the chain of command for review of challenging EKG rhythms before notifications or reports are delivered
Meet quality and performance standards
Follow all company and departmental policies and procedures
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

The estimated hiring salary range for this position is $22/hr to $26/hr.* The actual salary will be based on a variety of job-related factors, including geography, skills, education and experience. Job Overview:
This position performs clerical duties as well as maintaining skills necessary to observe and interpret central cardiac monitors. This position requires the interpersonal skills to communicate with respect and compassion to customers: communications information through various telecommunication devices; and assists in coordinating patient flow.

Responsibilities of the monitor reader: Accurately observes and interprets the central cardiac monitors. Is aware of the location of all monitored patients during the shift. Accurately maintains the cardiac monitor log with strips, intervals and interpretations at designated times as well as prn. Recognizes emergency rhythms and notifies appropriate personnel. Notifies the RN in accepted timeframe of changes in the patient rhythm or if arrhythmia occurs. Documents any change per unit standard. Maintains alarms at all times, and immediately reviews alarms and makes cardiac monitoring the first priority. Notifies appropriate nursing personnel or clinical engineering of any problems not resolved by unit trouble shooting. Maintains equipment, logs and telemetry supplies per unit protocol.

Our multidisciplinary team approach brings together a diverse group of healthcare professionals, including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and Acute Care Technicians (ACTs). Our collaborative effort ensures that each patient receives personalized and holistic care tailored to their unique needs.
We have a dedicated 10 bed geriatric space that focuses on dementia and patients with cognitive impairment. We have 28 other beds for adults experiencing depression and other mental illnesses. Patients on our unit typically stay for an average of 5-7 days, during which they benefit from the expertise and support of our dedicated team.
Our staffing model is designed to provide optimal care around the clock, with RNs, LPNs, ACTs, therapists, and social workers. We are available during day, evening, and night shifts. We offer twelve-hour shifts, with a twelve-hour shift every third weekend and a weekend option for those who prefer it.
We typically maintain an average patient-to-staff ratio of 1:5. While we prefer nurses with psychiatric/behavioral health experience, we warmly welcome new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.
Our nurses wear professional navy-blue scrubs, with the option to choose between navy blue or white scrub tops and jackets, reflecting our commitment to professionalism and unity.
