Monroe Group company history timeline

1981

Eight and a half years later, on December 18, 1981, the Borden company closed the Van Wert plant.

1982

Six months later, June 1982, the Fisher Cheese Company bought the Van Wert plant.

Stuart Heller, who is the founding partner, established the Monroe Group in 1982.

1989

On June 10, 1989 the Monroe Historical Society honored the Monroe Cheese Company, Liederkranz, Velveeta and those who served her so faithfully through the years at the site of the former factory on the Mill Pond Parkway.

1995

Outline indicates buildings still standing in 1995.

2006

In 2006, Monroe Group’s leadership founded Steele Properties, LLC to conduct all real estate development and property acquisitions.

2021

Justin Boyd was promoted to President in March 2021, and he reports to the partners.
