ActivitiesAttendant - Paintbox
SUMMARY
Responsible for providing a fun and safe atmosphere for all children participating in Paintbox program through guided activities, crafts, and learning opportunities. Assists Paintbox Manager with the design and execution of all educational programs that involve children in the resort.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead all daily activities and ensure that all guests are participating.
Assist in overseeing the daily operation of Paintbox.
Responsible for safety and security of all children participating in Paintbox programs and activities.
Responsible for programs daily setup and clean up including theme days.
Assist in strategizing, organizing and executing all special event activities for special occasions, holidays, summer and winter programs and special requests for groups and social functions.
Greet all guests with a warm welcome and a fond farewell; ensuring that all children's information/release forms are accurately filled out and the children are signed in on the sign-in sheet by parents/guardians before leaving Paintbox.
Responsible for posting all charges to rooms and credit cards.
Inform children and parents of daily craft and activities.
Handle reservation requests; take incoming phone calls, meeting all phone etiquette standards.
Properly communicate with the resort staff and resort guests all of the present and upcoming programs, offerings, and family activities through Paintbox.
Maintain relationships and communication with past and future guests with pre/post visit correspondence.
Develop relationships and work with department heads to ensure the successful operation of Paintbox.
Supervise Paintbox Attendants.
QUALIFICATIONS
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel. In addition, attendance at all scheduled/mandatory training sessions and meetings is required.
High School or equivalent is required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Minimum of 1-year working experience with children.
Valid CPR/First Aid Certification.
Luxury Hotel or Resort Experience preferred.
Must be organized.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Most tasks are performed outdoors in variable weather conditions, including hot, cold, windy and wet weather. Temperature can be extreme but is usually moderate. Frequently works near moving/mechanical parts. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to reach with arms and hands; bend and stoop; remain at post standing for extended periods of time; required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain an assigned section of staterooms and corridors in a clean and orderly manner by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for cost containment through the proper use, handling and maintenance and distribution of chemicals, supplies, equipment, stateroom amenities and consumable items.
Follows all daily, weekly, and monthly stateroom, bathroom, balcony, and corridor cleaning procedures to ensure standards are met.
Aware of and acquire the necessary knowledge to comply with the ship's standard operation to assist guests and crewmembers with inquiries.
Maintains current knowledge of the ship's regular events and special functions by reviewing all available data, including the daily newsletter, to provide guests with accurate information to answer questions.
Responsible to make beds, clean the bathroom, stateroom room and balcony in accordance with the “Save the Waves” program and following USPH (United States Public Health) guidelines.
Ensure that soiled linen and terry are sorted in linen bags as prescribed, ready for Linen-runner to collect and return to the laundry.
Empties and segregates trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
Dust furniture, clean walls, ceiling, woodwork, wash windows, door panels, clean carpet, upholstery, floors, ceilings, draperies, windows, and room accessories. Sweep, scrub, and vacuum. Spray or fog carpet, upholstery, and accessories with fabric conditioners and protectors, deodorizers, and disinfectants.
Ensure that all glasses in the bathroom and stateroom are washed in the Dishwasher during every service. Replenishes daily supplies such as towels, amenities, stationary supplies.
Ensure that mini bar items are replaced daily by the Private Bar and that the receipt is presented in a Folder to the guest and sign docket handed back to Private Bar.
Receive guest laundry and dry cleaning and transport to laundry for processing. Return cleaned laundry to guest's stateroom and presents laundry bills.
Delivers canapés to the guest staterooms as requested.
Maintain all equipment such as vacuum cleaners, trolleys etc. in proper working condition.
Transport guest luggage to assigned areas during embarkation and disembarkation
Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in good working order. Requisitions supplies and equipment when needed. Ensure that the work area is free from hazards to guests and other shipboard crewmembers.
Assists with Room Service whenever necessary.
During embarkation, greet the guests of their assigned sections and introduce themselves. Explain stateroom amenities and layout including mini bar, interactive system, and all available services onboard ship. Describe their function including duty hours and other available room services. May be assigned to the gangway to greet guests, if needed
Report to their workstation assignment on time and properly groomed and dressed according to standards. This includes a clean uniform, nametag, and any other uniform related item.
Report maintenance immediately to management.
Attend meetings, training activities, courses and all other work-related activities as required.

What will I be doing?
A Lead Recreational Attendant is responsible for assisting the Recreation Manager with the coordination of all guest activities.
Enthusiastically hosts key entertainment and other revenue/non-revenue programs and events, including but not limited to trivia events, sports and deck games, pool events, children's events, and other events. Provides a positive first impression to every guest through a warm, welcoming individual greeting.
Assist guests in their needs related to the pool area, including but not limited to responding to guest requests, comments, and concerns in a timely manner, assisting guests with rental of clam shell cabanas, luxury loveseats, and luxury bed.
Maintain cleanliness of general pool area and program areas, including picking up trash as needed, collecting towels as needed.
Spends an appropriate amount of time each day in the company of guests, developing rapport and engaging in conversations.
Inform the guests of the day's activities and explains each event.
Enter pool at a depth of 4 feet on a daily basis.
Maintain supplies, ordering proper materials for crafts, activities, and cabanas. Develop materials for special activities and programs as required.
What are we looking for?
Previous experience in Recreation and/or Program/Event planning required
Minimum 1 year of Customer Service experience preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
Hotel experience preferred
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to obtain Tuberculosis Clearance Certificate

What will I be doing?

Job Summary
The Attendant, Recreation is responsible for providing professional and customer-focused service to guests, ensuring a memorable experience. They will work closely with the Recreation & Leisure team to ensure One&Only service standards exceed guest expectations. The Ski Tuner/Attendant will be responsible for providing personalized winter equipment rentals, world-class ski tuning and repair services, and additional winter recreation services.
This position will specialize as either an Activities Guide or Ski Valet.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
* Facilitates personalized winter equipment rentals from proper equipment selection, boot fittings, and binding adjustments to ensure guest safety and satisfaction
* Provides guests with assistance with winter recreation activities such as Nordic skiing, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing
* Be knowledgeable about current ski conditions and other resort activities/amenities to properly answer any guest questions
* Transport guest's ski and snowboard equipment from rental shop and storage to snow
* Load and unload ski and snowboard equipment on and off the gondola
* Provide guest with directions from gondola to key locations such as ski lifts, ski school and guest services
* Operates resort point of sales and property management systems to properly bill guest
* Continuously collects feedback from guests, reporting it back to management
* Assists with any other duties that are required by Recreation & Leisure management or other members of the hotel management team
Skills, Experience, & Educational Requirements
* Prior experience and knowledge of winter equipment maintenance and tuning preferred
* Knowledge of Big Sky Resort terrain, current ski conditions, and additional program offerings
* Experience in 5-star, upmarket resort would be an advantage but not a requirement
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to obtain ski binding certifications for mounting, testing, and setting DIN
* Previous experience with Wintersteiger ski service equipment and Easy Rent software preferred

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Recreation Manager, the Pool Attendant is responsible for ensuring the comfort of the pool guests, as well as maintaining the pool deck and adhering to all of the Forbes service standards.
Essential Job Functions:
Under the supervision of the Pool Manager the incumbent is responsible for the following:
* Ensuring top quality guest service for the pool clientele.
* Collecting soiled linens and replenishing area with fresh supplies
* Performing cleaning duties to ensure the pool areas are kept sanitary and safe.
* Performs other duties.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and at a minimum of six (6) months of experience is preferred, along with CPR and first aid certification.
Work Environment
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
* Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
