Your Leadership
Provide strategic and operational leadership, guidance, direction, and tactical expertise on the hotel's restaurants
Drive hotel profitability through revenue generation in the restaurant, cost control, guest satisfaction, and associate engagement
Assist F&B Managers with daily restaurant operations, floor support, special events, and restaurant reservations
Responsible for the selection, training, and development of personnel within the department
Maintain constant communication within the restaurant
Provides conflict resolution and ensures disciplinary and termination procedures are followed and that all workplace standards are upheld
Promptly addresses all operational issues with Management and Staff
Monitor all elements (lighting, music, temperature), business levels, staffing levels, service levels, Forbes standards, service timing, dining room cleanliness and take steps to ensure food/beverage quality and presentations are met at all times
Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and accuracy of the restaurant menus
Control payroll and equipment costs (minimizing loss)
Responsible for the financial management of the operation
Responsible to attend all restaurant daily line-ups and weekly meetings
Ensure the department abides by all safety and sanitation policies
Create and maintain staffing schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage
Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, monitoring expenses and revenue performance
Implement cost control measures and revenue enhancement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining service quality
Maintain high standards of service excellence, food quality, and presentation, ensuring consistency and adherence to brand standards
Deliver on guests' expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments
Perform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the scope of duties, based on business needs

The pay scale for Restaurant General Manager, The Loft is $92,000 to $120,000.

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for the overall success of all hotel operations, financial performance, market share, associate and guest engagement. This role must embrace and exude a values driven service culture and management philosophy that actively serves as the guiding principle to all actions and decisions. This position must have extensive experience in creating and implementing critical paths for all operations, including financial success, luxury service standards, exceptional guest and associate experiences and leadership training and mentoring.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
Chief leader responsible for all aspects of the operation, including associate and guest engagement, human resources, financial performance, food and beverage, sales and marketing and asset management.
Captivate personalized guest experiences with a sense of the cultural place and drive property knowledge, execution and compliance of all hotel brand standards.
Provide the vision, leadership and strategy to inspire associates to foster genuine guest experiences, discoveries and adventures while driving financial success.
Cultivate engaging relationships and rapport with ownership, asset managers, local community boards and the corporate leadership team.
Design, manage, critique and dominate the property's annual budget, forecast and actuals by continuously exploring the hotel's performance and engaging associates in the overall success of the property.
Drive property achievement in the following areas: group, transient and other room revenue; food and beverage revenue, and all other sources of income for the property.
Exercise a savvy financial approach with a focus on revenue generation, cost containment, productivity improvement, forecasting accuracy and cash flow management.
Develop and maintain positive relationships by engaging in the local culture and nurture strong relationships with local officials, businesses and customers.
Oversee divisional matters and ensure compliance as they relate to federal, state and local employment and civil rights laws.
Responsible for selecting, leading and developing the Executive Committee and key leadership within the division and its departments and guide their professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
At minimum of 5 years' experience as an Executive level position in a luxury operation
Pre-opening hotel experience as a General Manager is preferred.
Experience in directly overseeing luxury residential real estate
Experience in managing residential HOA
Experience with third-party and management agreement contracts with food and beverage on property operations
Experience with overseeing spa and wellness partnerships
Self-motivated, well organized, ability to motivate others and results driven leader with exceptional ability to meet and exceed deadlines and goals
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace. Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to supervise subordinate staff, including, but not limited to, assignment of duties, evaluating service, and issuing disciplinary action when necessary
Must possess advanced computer skills
Budgetary analysis capabilities required; ability to prepare and analyze data, figures and transcriptions prepared on and generated by computer
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. frequently. Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs. occasionally.

THE OPPORTUNITY
Chipotle is building a modern, enterprise-grade Data Science organization focused on reliability, governance, and the delivery of high-impact machine learning solutions. As Senior Manager, Data Science, you will lead a team of data scientists and/or analytics engineers responsible for developing, deploying, and operationalizing production ML models that improve decision-making across Digital, Restaurant Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and the broader enterprise.
You will partner closely across Data Engineering, BI Engineering, Product & Technology, and business teams to define model development standards, experimentation frameworks, and operational practices that ensure long-term model reliability and transparency. This role will also play a key part in supporting Chipotle's Data Science and AI vision and roadmap by helping evaluate emerging capabilities, aligning ML efforts with platform strategy, and advancing responsible, strategic adoption of AI technologies.
This is a hands-on leadership role that translates data science strategy into reliable, scalable solutions that power the business every day.
LOCATION
This position will be based in our Newport Beach, CA office 4 days per week (with work from home on Friday). Remote work is not available for this role.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Leadership & Strategy:
Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing Data Science team of data scientists and/or analytics engineers.
Partner with the Director of Analytics Engineering to build and execute Chipotle's Data Science strategy, roadmap, operating model, and AI enablement goals.
Support the development and adoption of frameworks, guidelines, and capabilities that enhance Chipotle's readiness for scalable AI integration.
Define and enforce modern data science, analytics engineering, and MLOps best practices.
Establish standardized frameworks for experimentation, causal inference, model validation, and success measurement.
Promote a culture of documentation, peer review, testing, and operational excellence.
Data Science, MLOps & AI Execution:
Own the complete ML lifecycle-from problem framing through data sourcing, modeling, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Build, manage, and maintain reliable feature pipelines and ML workflows.
Deploy production ML models and implement observability for drift, data quality, concept changes, bias, performance, and SLAs.
Ensure reproducibility through versioning, testing, documentation, and proper model lineage.
Modernize Chipotle's data science capabilities by exploring and evaluating emerging technologies and future platform capabilities, including potential expansion into cloud-native ML platforms.
Support Chipotle's AI enablement efforts by helping evaluate emerging AI capabilities and potential applications.
Ensure all ML products follow governance, risk, security, and explainability expectations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Digital, Marketing, Restaurant Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Product, and other business teams to identify and prioritize high-value ML opportunities.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design production-ready ML solutions based on enterprise platform strategy.
Partner with the Data Engineering team to strengthen Data Science-owned transformations and ensure high-quality, reliable data pipelines.
Contribute to platform modernization efforts by helping define when Data Science should use specific data transformation patterns or workflows in alignment with the broader platform strategy.
Translate business needs into statistical, machine learning, causal inference, or optimization solutions.
Collaborate with BI Engineering to align KPIs, metrics, and logic between analytics output and ML-driven insights.
Communicate insights, model performance, risks, and decisions clearly to executive, technical, and operational audiences.
Build trust and adoption of ML-based solutions across the business through strong storytelling, clarity, and measurable outcomes.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE
Required:
8+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, predictive modeling, recommendation systems, or advanced analytics.
3+ years managing or leading data scientists and/or analytics engineers.
Hands-on proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern ML frameworks.
Experience deploying and maintaining enterprise-grade production ML models.
Strong experience with model lifecycle management, monitoring, versioning, and reproducibility.
Experience with experimentation frameworks (A/B testing, uplift modeling, causal inference).
Familiarity with modern data governance/cataloging systems such as Unity Catalog and/or Snowflake Horizon.
Experience with feature store technologies.
Strong communication, executive storytelling, and cross-functional partnership skills.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
Master's or PhD in a quantitative field.
Experience with generative AI, embeddings, LLM prompting, or retrieval-augmented approaches.

PAY TRANSPARENCY
A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $147,000.00-$217,500.00.
