ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties include; although are not limited to:
Conducting interior and exterior patrols throughout property; checking for unsecured doors and rooms, trespassers, unauthorized persons in restricted areas and safety hazards
Responding to all guest and Associate calls while on patrol, making emergencies a top priority
Drafting incident reports and ensuring all record logs such as key logs, lost and found, group resumes, contractor passes, and emergency equipment are all current and up to date via daily audits
Ensuring all daily shift logs and shift pass-down logs are complete
Viewing CCTV monitors and keeping constant surveillance of grounds through the camera system
Conducting associate safety training and reporting/resolving safety hazards throughout the property on a daily basis
Responding to, communicating, following up, and providing updates on all incidents as they occur
Having full knowledge of the property's activities/events each shift and providing a professional security presence while focusing on customer service. Receiving and communicating all information pertaining to your shift from the daily briefings
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum two to three years of Security experience
CPR/First Aid certified and ability to present current Guard Card
Luxury hotel experience strongly preferred
Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; daily use of nearly all programs will occur
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 4 hours in length. Must be able to exert well-paced ability to reach different outlets and other departments of the hotel on a timely basis. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning tasks. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis.
The pay scale* for this position is $23.07.
*Associates who work between 11:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., and whose shifts include at least 50% of hours within that time frame, will receive an additional $1.50 per hour.
*The pay scale is the base salary or hourly wage range, exclusive of incentive pay such as commissions, piece rates, gratuities, and the like, that Montage reasonably expects to pay for the position.

LocationOverview
The Safety and SecurityOfficer is responsible for providing protection and communication with hotel guests and employees. He/she is also responsible for patrolling hotel premises to maintain security, detect and report fire, security and safety hazards and/or violations of Highgate Hotel's rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
Use proper radio etiquette at all times.
Maintain visual contact with the Front Desk/Night Auditor and the front door of the hotel by remaining in the Lobby area when not on property walks.
Maintain and review daily activity log.
Maintain confidentiality with respect to guest and employee incidents.
Hold briefing with Guest Services staff both at the beginning and end of shift.
Check ID of visitors/employees as necessary.
Access secured areas for authorized personnel.
Maintain an awareness of legal limitation of position (local, state and/or federal ordinances).
Assist guests to their rooms or assist guest's w/entry into their rooms according to hotel standards.
Assist during medical emergencies.
Respond to emergency situations, including medical, security, guest complaints, etc.
Investigate assault complaints.

Respond to altercations, and investigate.
Have knowledge of hotel and guestroom locking systems.
Monitor TV cameras, if applicable.

Job Description
JOB OVERVIEW:
Under the general direction of the Director of Security, the Overnight Security Supervisor is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily activities of the SecurityOfficers to ensure the safety and protection of all guests, employees, and property. The Overnight Security Supervisor ensures that security protocols are consistently followed, incidents are effectively managed, and a professional and visible security presence is maintained. This hands-on role requires active engagement in property patrols, incident response, and training, while also fostering a culture of safety, accountability, vigilance, and outstanding guest service.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and coordinate the daily duties and deployment of SecurityOfficers across the property.
Monitor and enforce compliance with all security procedures, policies, and company standards.
Assist in responding to and managing incidents, emergencies, and guest/employee concerns; ensure accurate and timely reporting of all such events.
Conduct regular patrols of interior and exterior areas of the property to identify and address potential security or safety issues.
Act as a first point of escalation for SecurityOfficers in the absence of the Director.
Provide on-the-job training, coaching, and performance feedback to SecurityOfficers.
Ensure all security equipment (radios, surveillance systems, access controls, etc.) is functioning properly and report any issues to management.
Collaborate with hotel departments to ensure events, VIP visits, and guest experiences are safe and well-managed.
Prepare detailed shift reports and summaries for leadership review.
Ensure security logs, incident reports, and daily checklists are completed accurately.
Maintain high visibility and approachability to both staff and guests, reinforcing a safe and service-focused environment.
Support investigations of guest or employee incidents and help gather statements and evidence as needed.
Assist in maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards.

What will you do?
Control the various entry/exit locations throughout the DNPS controlled areas.
Operate a walk-through metal detector, handheld metal detector and conduct hand searches of carry bags.
