The ability to assist with lifting and transferring an adult person.
Prior experience as Caregiver, Care Assistant, Personal Assistant, Resident Assistant, Direct Care Worker, Nursing Assistant, Home Care Aide or Companion is a plus.

AgCorps Adopt A Trailhead Specialist

Adopt-A-Trailhead Montana (AATM) and Pull-Your-Share (PYS) are cooperative volunteer programs that help protect Montana's trails from the spread of noxious weeds. Noxious weeds at trailheads will lead to infested backcountry, city parks, and recreation areas which threatens Montana's tourism economy, wildlife habitat, and native plant communities. These programs aim to stop and control noxious weeds at the trailhead, educate the public about noxious weeds and provide ways they can act against spreading noxious weeds when recreating. AATM started in 2015, and since then there have been 74 kiosks installed with around 42 of those trailheads adopted. Volunteer groups work with state, city or federal agencies to adopt a trailhead or park and are responsible for hosting at least one weed pull per year. PYS was created by a Great Falls teacher and involves both classroom instruction and a field trip where teachers and students pull weeds at a site and learn about natural resource careers. This service member will maintain all current kiosks, recruit volunteer groups for new or existing trailheads without adoptees, conduct kiosk installs, run volunteer days at weed pull events, conduct classroom instruction, host school field trips, maintain social media and outreach for the program, work with other agencies and NGOs to strengthen the program, and assists other noxious weed programs at the department as needed. This position will be in the field and on the road about 40% of the time. The remaining 60% will be conducted in a typical office environment. Member Duties : This is a full time, 1700 hour position. As the Adopt A Trailhead Specialist, you will: • Coordinate AATM and PYS program events • Recruit volunteer groups for new and existing trailheads • Develop social media and outreach for the program • Organize volunteer groups and weed pull events • Conduct kiosk and sign installation and maintenance • Conduct outreach activities at schools and community events • Assist other department noxious weed programs as needed • Attendance at mandatory trainings (orientation, Symposium, mid-service training and end of service training) • Participation in evaluation and reporting (monthly reporting, bi-weekly timesheet submission and monthly check-in calls)

This classification works under general supervision and is responsible for Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Career Training Specialist duties of routine difficulty. Responsibilities
* Supports and delivers individualized, person-centered services based on the unique needs of the customer according to the referral source. Actively listens to customer and assists in development of career and training goals/strategies by creating a career/vocational plan and tracking and documenting their progress accurately and timely.
* Researches training opportunities such as certifications, apprenticeships, and internships with the customer to assist in achieving employment objectives. Explores social capital contacts with customer concerning their career profile needs.
* Assists customer with the creation of a professional email account. * Facilitates virtual and/or in-person job shadowing. Conducts tours of local businesses with customers to assist in identifying career interests.
* Conducts or coordinates mock interviews with customers and utilizes other virtual mock interview applications as appropriate to assist customers.
* Identifies independent living resources in the local community to assist with community access and inclusion. Assists customers with identifying, exploring, and utilizing transportation opportunities such as preparing for a driver's exam or learning local transportation routes.
* Supports customers with pre-vocational training services such as certification training and industrial equipment training, maintaining contact throughout to assist in reaching the desired training outcomes. Assists customers in community work-based learning sites.

Job Summary:
Supervises residents and ensures them a safe and secure environment. Activities include processing resident intakes and discharges, supervising recreational activities, teaching proper hygiene and conduct, monitoring resident behavior, intervening in crisis situations and documenting incidents and resident interaction.

Supervises residents to ensure compliance with facility rules. Addresses noncompliant behavior by coaching and teaching approved theory and therapy techniques. Support youth with emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
Processes resident intake. Documents all required resident personal information. Conducts personal searches of residents. Logs all resident personal items and stores any items not allowed in the detention center away from residents until they are no longer living at the detention center. Orients new residents and parents to the facility; explaining the philosophy, policies, procedures and program rules.
Education and Experience:
Two years of college (30 semester hours) towards a social science or human services related degree is required OR High School Diploma / GED Equivalent with two years of work experience in a child / adolescent care facility or closely related setting.
Bachelor's degree in a social science or human services field is preferred.
Current unencumbered Michigan Driver's License with no more than one traffic violation in the last 12 months.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
A Clubhouse Rehabilitation Specialist works both within the Clubhouse program locations of HealthWest and in a variety of community settings as activities require. Travel throughout the County by use of personal resources and work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays may be required.
EVALUATION CONTENT
Applicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position. When such check is conducted, an offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the criminal background check. Appointees must satisfactorily complete a probationary period before the appointment will be considered permanent.

Job Duties
Position provides comprehensive case management services by ensuring all relevant classification paperwork is timely, accurate and complete. Ensures inmates are appropriately employed during their incarceration. The position focuses on adult inmate release planning and performing case management/counseling which includes classification. Promotes the development of self and staff through providing training. Acts as a role model by providing guidance/direction for inmates in a correctional facility, which enhances facility security and promotes long-term pro-social behaviors
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in counseling, rehabilitation, or casework management. Experience facilitating rehabilitative programs. Experience preparing reports. Working knowledge of principles and practices of counseling, of casework and treatment methods, of behavior modification, various intervention techniques and inmate restoration rehabilitation. Demonstrated ability to counsel and interact with inmates to develop, implement, and follow through on treatment plans and to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Additional Considerations
Advance knowledge in Social Services, Counseling, Criminal Justice or other areas related to human services or equivalent combination of training and experience. Previous experience working in adult counseling or corrections. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Certification in a specialized area, such as Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, CSAC, Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, CSOTP. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and experience facilitating staff and inmate programs.
