The Landscape and Grounds section of Facilities is responsible for; minimizing the deterioration of campus grounds, maintaining the campus aesthetic, implementing campus landscape and grounds improvements, operating the recycling and solid waste programs, producing and reviewing plans and specifications for proposed construction projects, as well as evaluating finished construction as it relates to such specifications, and keeping the grounds free from physical hazards to campus users. The Director of Athletic Equipment Operations- Fieldhouse manages the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse Athletics Equipment Room and Laundry Facility in a safe, secure, and effective manner. The Director of Athletic Equipment Operations is under the general supervision of the Assistant Athletic Director - Facilities, Operations and Events and is responsible for the overall equipment operation for 14 NCAA Division I varsity sports as well as MSU Rodeo and Spirit Squad. The Butte office of the Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology (Montana's state geologic survey) seeks a highly motivated quantitative hydrogeologist trained in groundwater modeling techniques to develop and apply groundwater models for water resources evaluation. The MBMG's Ground Water Investigation Program studies local- to regional-scale hydrogeologic systems, with projects that encompass groundwater/surface-water interactions and groundwater quantity and quality. A primary focus of the position will be to use groundwater modeling, scripting/programming, parameter estimation, GIS, and visualization software to develop and apply groundwater flow models for water resources evaluations. Responsibilities also include aiding in project design, collecting and interpreting geologic and hydrogeologic data, and writing reports. The Biology Department at Montana Technological University is seeking applicants for a tenure track assistant professor position. The department seeks an individual with expertise in microbiology, cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or another closely related discipline. Duties: Primary duties for this position include teaching a range of courses and labs that may include but are not limited to: Microbiology, Immunology, and Virology. The normal teaching expectation is 9 credits/ semester plus active research. Course development in the candidate's area of expertise is expected. Student mentoring and research are expected. The candidate is expected to develop research with mutual goals of peer-reviewed publications and undergraduate student involvement. Efforts to secure external funding are expected. Additional student mentoring is expected for senior research/thesis projects, some of which may be developed independently by the student. Duties also extend to include active contribution to the department and campus in the form of service, examples of which include but are not limited to: advising, assisting in department events, recruiting new students, advising student clubs, serving on campus-wide committees. Required Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. or ABD (completion of Ph.D. required by position start date) in microbiology, cellular biology, molecular biology, biochemistry or in a closely related discipline; Teaching or TA experience at the College/University Level; effective oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated potential for establishing an independent, externally-funded research program. Preferred Qualifications: Post-doctoral experience. College/University teaching experience as instructor of record.
