Alice Cronin is the AVP/CIO at Montefiore Nyack Hospital in Nyack,NY. Alice is a registered nurse who began her career at NYU Medical Center where she worked clinically for over 20 years with the final years spent as the Nurse Manager in the Emergency Department. She transitioned to Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center , Bronx, NY accepting the position of Clinical Director of the ED. With her interest in Healthcare Information Technology, she served on the system selection team for the new hospital information system and subsequently became the Project Manager for the implementation of the chosen system.

Alice had an opportunity offered to her at Nyack Hospital that included expanded responsibilities as an Administrator. While at the hospital she has had responsibility for Registration, Laboratory, Health Information Services, Information Technology, Clinical Documentation Improvement and the Medical Library. She has used her skills in Lean Healthcare to assist in an ED redesign project that resulted in a Press Ganey award for the facility. She also lead a Lean project with the Infusion Center as they moved to a new and expanded location in the facility. Currently, she is the project manager for the implementation and construction of Transitional Care Unit at the hospital.

Alice along with the ED Medical Director is leading a team that has implemented ED navigators and Mobile Health Coordinators with the quadruple aim of improving the patient experience, population health, care team well being and reducing costs. This team has integrated with a Community Paramedic Program. Together they have decreased ED MVP (multi-visit patients) visits by 20%, significantly decreased new high utilizers as well as a drop in re-admissions. They have significantly impacted the lives of people in our community.

Michael Novak is a VP and COO at Montefiore Health System and Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Montefiore Nyack Hospital and is based in Waterbury, Connecticut. He has worked as Vice President of Operations and Ambulatory Services at Saint Mary s Hospital; Vice President for GME and Professional Services at Saint Mary s Hospital; and VP of Operations, Ancillary Care and CIO at Saint Mary s Hospital. Michael attended ALBERTUS MAGNUS COLLEGE between 2003 and 2006 and Boston University between 1980 and 1984.
