Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and key performance indicators to support client insights.
Present completed reporting packages and findings to clients as directed.
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models in alignment with client engagement terms.
Provide technical accounting support to clients and their teams on complex issues.
Identify operational inefficiencies through client discovery sessions and recommend actionable improvements.
Lead and coach staff and senior accountants, providing guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
4-6 years of experience in public or private accounting.
3+ years managing associates and/or teams.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred.
Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
Strong planning, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Strong project management and relationship-building skills, with a client-first mindset.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in accounting software, specifically, Intaact, QuickBooks Online, Netsuite, Bill.com, Microsoft Office Suite and a demonstrated ability to embrace new technologies.

Salary Range

Program Description

Summary of Responsibilities:
The Portfolio Monitoring (“PM”) team at BBVA is an integral part of Investment Banking & Finance within BBVA CIB. PM is responsible for working with front office teams to execute loan documentation and monitor the performance of the loan portfolio. PM provides agency services when BBVA acts as the administrative agent on syndicated loans and manages all waivers and amendments on loan transactions. PM US works closely with the global PM team and coordinates activities on the NY Branch book, with a view to building a team that can manage all of the activity of the US teams. The loan book in the US consists of corporate syndicated revolving credit facilities, term loans, bilateral loans, and club loans to both US companies and international clients who borrow from BBVA NY Branch. In addition, the US portfolio includes both lead roles and participations in project finance transactions, real estate loans, securitizations, and capital call facilities.
PM is involved in the early stages of loan execution, including the structuring stage of a facility. Once a loan transaction is closed, signed, and uploaded into the operations system, PM manages any and all events relative to the transaction, including covenant monitoring, amendments and waivers. The PM team also monitors the loan book for information on a borrower that could impact repayment and communicates with the front office and risk teams regarding loan performance metrics and activity. The PM team utilizes a variety of applications and tools to perform its duties, including several internally developed applications.
For loans where BBVA acts as a lead bank (“Administrative Agent”), PM is integral in working with the borrower to distribute required covenant compliance documents and communicate with the club or banking syndicate. As a participant bank, PM acts as the key contact point with the administrative agent and manages the loan activity post-closing.

Job Tittle : Real Estate Lending Associate
Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the loan servicing function in order to ensure the efficient and accurate servicing of mortgage loan accounts.
Maintains all paper and electronic files by accurately processing all loan origination components and documentation; Disburses all online applications; Manages conditions and handles as appropriate.

Job Summary:
We're looking for an Associate to join our growing Portfolio Management Group (PMG), focusing on credit coverage for Digital Infrastructure clients within the Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) sector. This includes both investment-grade and non-investment-grade public and private corporate borrowers, as well as Commercial Real Estate borrowers who develop, own, and operate digital infrastructure.
You'll be responsible for preparing detailed credit analyses for new business opportunities and ongoing portfolio reviews. Your core tasks will include:
Evaluating corporate, regulatory, and industry risks
Analyzing historical performance
Developing operating cash flow and valuation projections
Assessing borrower capital structures
In this role, you will support the senior Portfolio Manager in the assessment of risk factors associated with each credit leading to an appropriate risk rating based on established policies and guidelines. You'll also help manage existing bank exposures and participate in underwriting and due diligence for new transactions. Primary responsibilities include analyzing risks and mitigants, including monitoring credits for potential upgrades, downgrades or general credit deterioration with the goal of maximizing the bank's net income while minimizing credit costs.
Responsibilities:
Perform due diligence and financial analysis on new transactions and on-going reviews for the Digital Infrastructure loan portfolio.
Provide regular and organized communication to Portfolio Managers while coordinating between various stakeholders across the Bank to drive efficiencies within the Portfolio Management process.
Maintain a high level of awareness regarding macroeconomic trends that impact particular sectors within the TMT vertical by utilizing internal and external information/news sources.
Attend client and bank meetings when appropriate, more often telephonically.
Participate in adhoc projects as assigned.
Advanced Credit/Underwriting Solutions:
Support the prescreening of proposed transactions by identifying critical structural issues and risks and balancing institutional policy with business objectives.
Support the Digital Infrastructure vertical through financial modeling of commercial real estate cash flows and property valuations.
Prepare and present select Quarterly Watch List credits to senior credit officers.
Understand and maintain knowledge of industries represented in portfolio, including technical aspects and regulatory issues.
Policy and Deal Advocacy:
Support the Senior Credit Officer(s), communicate with Relationship Managers and Portfolio Managers to problem solve and ensure transaction requests are acceptable within the risk appetite of the firm.
Ensure compliance with internal policy and procedural requirements by understanding and adhering to USWB Operating Procedures, General Credit Policies for the Americas (GCP), and Procedures for Credit Ratings and Credit Rules.
Evaluate and establish appropriate ratings for transactions and correlate appropriate exposure level on both a transaction and group level.
Ensure compliance with policy and regulatory requirements, including timely completion of all assigned training courses.
Skills & Experience:
Ideally you would have:
Minimum of 2 years of work experience within a financial institution accounting firm or rating agency analyzing corporate client's risk, credit profiles, cash flow projections and valuation with a focus on commercial real estate and/or digital infrastructure is a must.
A positive ‘can-do' attitude with motivation to collaborate with and contribute to a fast-paced and growing team.
Strong financial spreading/modeling and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with ability to work independently.
Completion of a formal credit-training program at a bank preferred
Bachelor's degree, in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics (working towards a CFA a plus).
Compensation & Benefits:
The typical base pay range for this role is $130K - $155K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Responsible for performing a variety of duties to support the loan servicing function in order to ensure the efficient and accurate servicing of mortgage loan accounts.
Maintains all paper and electronic files by accurately processing all loan origination components and documentation; Disburses all online applications; Manages conditions and handles as appropriate.
