Job Description
CNC/Coiler Operator
As a Setup Operator, you are committed to quality and safety standards. With great attention to detail, you refer to blueprint specifications as your program machinery. This process involves adjusting mechanical components as well as CNC coiling machines. Tool preparation, set-up, trouble-shooting, and process control are a few of your setup duties.
Essential Duties:
Perform first piece approval, per set up approval-process.
Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers and calipers, and fixtures and gauges to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced.
Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations according to specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances
Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and material on machines
Performs regular cleaning and maintenance on area and related equipment
Understands and complies with all safety requirements as related to designated machine(s) and/or area
Communicates quality concerns of either product or related equipment to Supervisor
Maintains the cleanliness and order of designated area(s) as to 5S standards
Maintains the cleanliness and order of measuring devices used and communicates to quality any concerns
Knowledge & Skills Summary:
