**About The Career:**
* The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for the day to day cleaning operations of the hospital and surrounding buildings. This person will be responsible for the general appearance and infection control of the entire hospital as assigned.

Radiology Technologist responsibilities:

Process films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.
Prepare or clean patient rooms by changing linens, stocking supplies and wiping off tables and equipment ensuring an efficient and clean working environment.
Protect patients from undue exposure to radiation by using lead shields and various safety factors.
Prepare and assist in administering contrast agents by monitoring dosages and determining any potential allergies ensuring compliance with department policies and procedures.
Maintain patient information as needed by purging or updating patient film jackets and/or filing reports or film files to ensure accurate patient records.
Maintain imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled cleanings and tests and documenting results. Contact service personnel and notify supervision of malfunctioning equipment.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent, required.
Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.
Current license/certification in the state of practice, required.
Possess a current Basic Life Support Certification, or obtain certification within one month of employment, required.
At least one (1) year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred.
ARRT (R) registry eligible.
Thorough knowledge of anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variant.
Thorough knowledge of radiation safety.

Scope:
CT Technologist responsibilities:
Perform CT procedures in order to obtain desired imaging results according to physicians specifications that includes, but is not limited to: transferring patients for examinations, ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis, and assisting with the CT examination process
Be responsible for appropriate operation of all CT Imaging and related equipment
Appropriately educate, position, immobilize and perform CT procedures
Coordinate CT examination to ensure timeliness, quality and continuity of patient care
Understand and follow provider Imaging orders correctly
Submit required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation
Appropriately evaluate image quality
Provide open, accurate, and responsive communication to patients, coworkers, Radiologists and leadership
Appropriately utilize, charge and maintain department supplies
Requirements:
Must hold both Registered Rad Tech certifications, CT (Computed Tomography X-ray), required
Computed tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Two (2) years CT experience preferred in a hospital or ED setting-
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Scope:
As an Interventional Radiology / Special Procedure Technologist, you will need to know how to:
Acquire, manipulate, and process computer enhanced and radiographic images unitizing Interventional Radiology equipment.
Communicate with patients obtaining informed consents, pertinent clinical history and ensuring optimal results.
Collaborate and plan with Radiologist, referring physicians and technologists for the selection of procedural protocols.

Qualifications:
Graduate on an AMA-approved radiologic technology program

CT Technologist responsibilities:
Maintain ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job
Understand and operate CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure production of quality images.
Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
Perform exams per department protocol.
Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, ensuring that all necessary anatomical structures are captured.
Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and maintains a safe working environment for patients and staff.
Completes studies within acceptable time limitations per department expectations without compromising patient care or the quality of the examination.
Provide appropriate patient education, ensures patient comfort, and addresses patient and/or family concerns.
Coordinate patient care and communicates pertinent information to other patient care providers following procedure.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in CT technology, techniques, and protocols by participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
Assist and instruct students and other radiology technologists in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
