As a Space Systems Engineering Intern, you will interact daily with professional Space Systems Engineers, Aerospace Engineers, Software Engineers, UI/UX engineers, Space Systems Engineers, and Operations Analysts that support our customers. You will have the opportunity to directly support software implementation and refine your skills as you progress through the internship. Responsibilities Work as part of an agile analytical team to create novel solutions to our customers' needs. Participate in peer reviews of development work to evaluate coding techniques and implementation. Work with team members of all levels to complete daily tasks, share development knowledge, follow-up and escalate issues appropriately, and recommend design and process improvement. Evaluate, modify, and implement simulation and analysis tools. Translate user stories and business requirements into effective designs. Qualifications Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in a Computer Science related discipline. Availability to work full-time for at least 10-12 weeks for summer 2026. Ability to work on-site in the office full-time Strong understanding of software development principles and how to apply them. Prior experience as a software developer. Strong interpersonal and listening skills, with ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within LMI and with its clients. Team-oriented attitude with a growth mindset and willingness to continually learn and apply new technologies. Previous experience with or a desire to work in the space domain. All internship positions at LMI are paid positions. The pay range for this position is 20-27/hr.
