Job Summary
This position will serve as a senior field lead supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs. The position is responsible for overseeing field installations and upgrades, ensuring all activities are carefully coordinated to protect the operational integrity of the National Airspace System (NAS). The technician will lead site readiness reviews, coordinate cutovers, and provide hands-on support for equipment installation and testing.
Years of Relevant Experience
The position requires 15+ equivalent years of technical experience with FAA or Department of Defense (DoD) systems involving air traffic infrastructure. Specific experience with the FAA or DoD is required.
Essential Job Functions

About This Role
As an HVAC Lead Mini Split Installer at Plumbing Systems Inc. (PSI), you'll be the hands-on leader of your installation team. What You'll Do

Accurately complete and submit all necessary paperwork, photos, or other required documentation.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION
High School Diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE
2+ years of carpentry, trim carpentry, construction, or in-home renovation experience with the ability to take accurate measurements using tape measure, level and combination square.
Own equipment and ability to use power tools (drill, jigsaw, etc.)
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
General liability insurance and workers compensation insurance or ability to obtain.
Valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
Reliable transportation for transporting products safely to work locations.

Installation of all types of commercial HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, air handlers, mini-splits, rooftop units, unit heaters, boilers, chillers.
Check drawing for conflict
Understand other trades for coordination
Properly size, cut, insulate and install metal duct runs
Understand kitchen hoods, exhaust, welded ducts and make-up air systems
Able to run an area of a project with little to no supervision along with a level 1 or 2 apprentice.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Display the ability to build a positive team attitude/morale in supporting installers.
Create a positive/constructive atmosphere at the job site. Recognize and change, when possible, a poor customer relationship into a positive one.
Able to run small jobs/phase of project with one installer and complete the job at or below budget/completion date

Installers and technicians are subject to work in indoor and outdoor conditions. Those could include, but are not limited to; heat, cold, wind, rain, or snow. Installers and technicians are also subject to work in cramped, tight, dirty spaces or would be required to climb ladders.
