Education
Advanced master's degree in economics, finance, statistics, applied mathematics, financial engineering or related field with relevant work experience. Responsibilities
The individual will be primarily responsible for performing analysis to assign ratings on US RMBS structured finance transactions and producing publishable research. The candidate will be expected to lead rating committees and offer their analysis of the credit risk, including cash flow analysis of the transactions, potential credit impact of the terms of the transaction documents and conduct appropriate market dialogue around transaction credit analysis. The individual is also expected to undertake special projects intended to enhance Moody's thought leadership in credit markets and operational efficiencies, including digital enablement projects.
Act as lead analyst for new issuance U.S. RMBS transactions. Analyze transaction credit and legal risks, model cash flows and analyze transaction and legal documents to formulate rating recommendations and opinions.
Communicate effectively with customers, including arrangers, issuers and investors.
Involvement in a variety of projects to improve our capabilities, both analytically and operationally.
Represent the team in operational reviews, issuer and investor meetings, and industry events.
Write publishable research, including transaction-related reports, articles and in-depth reports on credit issues affecting the industry.
Assist the RMBS surveillance team where appropriate.
Act as a mentor to less experienced analysts in the team and RRS.
