Moving, packing, and sorting raw materials or finished goods
Monitoring the quality of output to identify, discard, or re-manufacture faulty products
Maintaining accurate daily assembly production records as input to manufacturing performance analysis
Cross training on multiple production lines
Ability to step into a leadership role as needed and support training/guidance for team members
To be considered for this Assembler III role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
HS Diploma or equivalent required, Technical/Vocational training with high emphasis on mechanical systems desired.
3+ years electro/mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment is required; Aerospace experience preferred
Position requires attention to detail, organized work practices, and good housekeeping skills to maintain a clean work center
Must be able to read and work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, BOM, test specifications, and other instructions, both written and verbal.
Prior experience with circuit cards and strong understanding of ESD
Must be proficient in basic computer skills, including MS Office

The apprentice will be registered with the Department of Labor under a CNC Machining apprenticeship program. The training will start in entry-level manufacturing until the apprentice has completed enough coursework with the tech college to be able to run a machine. At that time, the apprentice with work with a mentor, learning hands-on machining and will work to complete a machining certificate.
The apprenticeship training period is for 1 year with a requirement of receiving a machining certificate from one of the Tech Colleges. After successful completion, the candidate will finish in an off-shift position as a permanent full-time employee.

As a Manufacturing Engineer you will…
Resolve production issues, field failures, and customer complaints quickly and effectively.
Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.

Support lean manufacturing efforts including Kaizen and Gemba activities.

The Work:

Overview
This Sr. Contracts Administrator position is a critical individual contributor role, reporting directly to the Division Contracts Director. The Machining Intern must be currently enrolled in a machinist certificate program at one of the Utah Technology Colleges (OWTC, DTC, etc.). We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Dangerous Goods Transportation Subject Matter Expert to drive compliance, program excellence, and risk mitigation across approximately 15 of our Canada and Mexico sites. This role will focus on ensuring all aspects of dangerous goods transportation are compliant with applicable local, state, federal, and international regulations, across all modes of transport.
This leader will work directly with site leadership teams to promote a culture of safety and compliance, ensuring programs are not only audit-ready but also supported at the executive and operational levels. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and deeply knowledgeable in regulatory compliance and operational execution related to dangerous goods.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Lead and oversee the dangerous goods transportation compliance program for ~15 manufacturing sites with elevated compliance risk.
+ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory frameworks (NOM, TDG, IATA, IMDG etc.) across multiple modes of transportation.
+ Conduct site assessments, site evaluations, and gap analyses to identify risks and develop action plans to close compliance gaps.
+ Collaborate closely with plant and regional leadership to drive program ownership and accountability at each site.
+ Support the development and implement standardized procedures, training, and documentation to ensure consistent and compliant operations across all locations.
+ Provide subject matter expertise (SME) and guidance on transportation classifications, packaging, labeling, shipping papers, emergency response, and security plans.
+ Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis related to dangerous goods non-compliance and transportation related incidents.
+ Monitor and interpret changing regulations to maintain proactive compliance readiness.
+ Support and contribute to internal audits, third-party assessments, and regulatory inspections.
+ Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing industry best practices.
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 5 years of experience post graduate experience in hazardous materials/dangerous goods transportation compliance, logistics, supply chain, environmental or related field
+ Deep knowledge of relevant regulations: Mexican NOMs, Canadian TDG, IATA Air regulations, IMDG Vessel Regulations, or EPA requirements
+ Demonstrated ability to influence and engage plant leadership and cross-functional teams to drive compliance and culture change.
+ Strong communication and training skills; able to effectively translate technical requirements into practical actions

The Opportunity
The CNC Machinist will have responsibility for the setup and operation of miscellaneous computerized numerical control (CNC) and/or manual machines in 8545 (Structures). The Machinist will also ensure that machines are properly tooled and may be required to make recommendations to modify programs as appropriate.
Additionally, the CNC Machinist will:
1. Set-up and operation of miscellaneous CNC and/or manual machines, specifically mills (Jig Bore).
2. Machine and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications.
3. Maintain accurate and reliable documentation.
4. Participate in establishing manufacturing methods, including machine, test, material and tooling requirements, to ensure parts are machined according to engineering tolerances/specifications.
5. Perform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications. Visually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces.
6. Provide input and recommendations for selecting, installing, and adjusting CNC and manual machine cutting tools to ensure they are consistent with type and size of material being machined.
7. Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements.
8. Maintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained.
9. Communicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation.
10. Perform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated.
11. Clean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards.
12. Ensure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell.
13. Adhere to all safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications
High School or GED and a minimum of 2 years of machining experience, specifically mills. Reads, understands and correctly interprets blueprints, planning and manufacturing specifications. Demonstrated working knowledge of machining and/or testing related mathematical concepts. Has basic knowledge of inspection requirements and techniques. Rough burrs machined parts. May train, provide guidance and assist in developing lower skill level team members.
Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. from floor to waist.
(Note - must use a lift assist or assistance from other individual(s) when lifting in excess of 50 lbs.)
Must be capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 lbs.
Must have grip strength of at least 50 lbs.

The Safety Assurance for Effective Autonomous Driving Software (SAFE-ADS) department is part of the Global Product Safety, System, and Certification (GPSSC) organization at GM. This department serves as the central body for automated driving system (ADS) safety and brings together expertise from across the company to establish a comprehensive safety case. **The Role**
The AV Safety Strategy and Assessment team is seeking a technical leader with extensive experience in the full end to end development lifecycle for autonomous vehicle behaviors driven by artificial intelligence & machine learning models. As the AV Behavior and AI Safety Principal Engineer, you will need to stay current on industry best practices and standards and guide the development of GM's AV Behavior Validation and AI safety strategy. This technical leader role requires extensive experience leading the development and implementation of AV Behavior Validation methodologies across a broad range of L4 autonomous features. A successful candidate will also have extensive experience setting the AI safety strategy for engineering development teams that are focused on AI/ML and following through on implementation and validation of safe AI development and deployment practices.

**The Role**
We are looking for an Engineering Manager with a deep technical background, experience building and running engineering teams, and who is passionate about developer productivity. As a leader on this team, we are looking for someone who cares deeply about the technical development of engineers on and off the team and can effectively balance the needs and priorities of the business, our users, and the growth of our engineers.

**Minimum Qualifications (Must-Have)**
+ Leadership experience: 5+ years of experience leading software or site reliability engineering (SRE) teams and balancing the tradeoff between velocity and reliability
+ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
+ Observability expertise: Deep understanding of core observability pillars: logs, metrics, and traces. Experience with technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and log management systems is crucial
+ Software architecture: Strong background in designing, developing, and architecting distributed systems, cloud-native applications, and microservices
+ Programming proficiency: Familiarity with Go, Python, Typescript or similar along with software development practices to inform code reviews and architectural decisions
+ Cloud infrastructure: Experience with modern cloud offerings like GCP, AWS, or Azure and technologies like CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, and Docker
