The Vacuum Truck Operator must be able to work in compliance in the delivery of MER's four (4) core service lines (Emergency Response, Industrial and Marine Services, Facility Decontamination, and Site Remediation). Drivers must adhere to and maintain strict compliance with corporate/office policies and procedures, established health and safety protocols, and all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Job Responsibilities Execution of field work encompassed in remediation and industrial maintenance projects while under direct or indirect supervision. Drive an average of 30% of the time as well as work onsite as part of a team. Depending on location, drivers may be asked to perform the duties of a Field Technician if business needs warrant it. Correct completion of all job-specific, employee-related and equipment-related MER paper work including Timesheets, Daily Work Reports, Driver's Logs, Pre and Post Vehicle Inspection and Daily Tailgate Safety Meeting Forms. Understand and enforce project's detailed scope-of-work to maintain strict compliance with contract documents, project schedules, and corporate policies and procedures. Work safely during all phases of performing the job duties required in the field. Ability to perform work inside areas of varying dimensions, involving squatting and crawling for possible extended periods. A valid Class “A” Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements is required. Experience with construction equipment and heavy haul/end dump is required TWIC Preferred. The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of personalized service to our accounts. The Project Manager "owns" every job that is performed for their assignment of accounts. In addition to the base salary, some roles may be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. * CH #LI-DP2 * Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; * Performs preventative maintenance, conducts inspections, troubleshoots, diagnoses failures & deficiencies & performs necessary corrections. This includes conducting offsite road repairs/service calls. * Completes daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated. * Assures unit has daily maintenance duties performed and communicates any problems or issues with the unit immediately upon discovery * Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for tracking PM schedules. * Conducts Safety Checks & Annual Vehicle Inspections in accordance with provincial & federal laws. * Assures that Equipment is properly parked in compliance with facility permit and DOT requirements. * Ensures that work meets all applicable Health and Safety Standard Operating Procedures. * Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment. * Performs other assignments as assigned by management. * Understands Clean Compliance Standard.
