The Executive Director (ED) will lead the formalization and strategic ownership of client reference data across the ISG Data Group, overseeing the Data Integrity Team and driving the harmonization of client data, ICI entitlements, and contacts governance. This role is pivotal in supporting the Integrated Firm Management (IFM) directive, ensuring holistic delivery of Morgan Stanley's products and services to clients through robust data stewardship, governance, and change management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Data Ownership & Governance
Formalize ISG Data Group's ownership of client reference data, establishing clear accountability and stewardship across business units.
Lead the Data Integrity Team in maintaining, cleansing, and enhancing the quality of client reference data, including Trading Name (TN) and Legal Hierarchy structures.
Develop and implement governance frameworks for client data, contacts, and entitlements, in partnership with the Contacts Governance Forum and EDG.
2. Client Harmonization & Orphan Party Clean-Up
Drive firmwide client harmonization initiatives, including the remediation of orphan parties in A2 and mapping disconnected entities to correct hierarchies.
Oversee legal entity policy changes and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
Lead the implementation of controls and processes to maintain ongoing data hygiene and integrity.
3. Contacts & Entitlements Governance
Own the contacts data domain via EDG, establishing and chairing the Contacts Governance Forum to set standards for data quality, ownership, and technology enhancements.
Develop shared-ownership models and tiering frameworks for contacts, integrating with key vendors and internal systems.
Oversee the rollout and management of ICI entitlements, ensuring appropriate access, audit, and risk frameworks are in place.
4. Change Strategy & Integrated Firm Management
Champion the change strategy required to support IFM's mission of delivering consistent, systematic client coverage and intelligence globally.
Collaborate with senior leadership to drive adoption of the Integrated Client Intelligence (ICI) platform, enabling 360-degree client connectivity and commercial opportunity identification.
Lead cross-functional teams to implement strategic technology plans, resource allocation, and process improvements supporting IFM priorities.
5. Controls Implementation & Regulatory Compliance
Design and enforce controls for data sharing, privacy, entitlements, and anomalous behavior monitoring within the ICI platform.
Ensure compliance with regulatory commitments, privacy laws, and contractual obligations related to client data.
Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Technology teams to refresh and expand controls as the platform evolves.
6. Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
Serve as the primary liaison to senior management, business unit leaders, and governance forums on all matters related to client reference data and contacts.
Represent ISG Data Group in firmwide initiatives, working groups, and oversight committees.
Mentor and develop talent within the Data Integrity Team and broader data governance community.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in client reference data management, governance, and strategy within financial services, ideally at ED level.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $175,000 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. Background on the Position:
This role will reside within Firm Risk Management's Model Risk Management team responsible for the Firm's management of model risks related to the implementation and use of valuation, risk, and stress testing models and tools. This position requires strong risk management mindset, proven subject matter expertise in financial crime regulatory requirements and model validation, and excellent technical, leadership, and organizational skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead a team of quantitative model reviewers to conduct initial and periodic reviews of exotic equity derivatives valuation models. Ensure the timely delivery of thorough review work in accordance with regulatory requirements and model risk management policies and procedures.
Identify, measure, communicate and decide on significant model risk issues in the coverage area. This includes model usage in the firm's books & records, risk management, downstream capital model inputs, P&L attribution, and stress loss calculations.
Partner with model owners and developers to better understand and address model limitations.
Review and identify any model usage gaps on new products, new business initiatives and new material exposures.
Drive changes together with risk managers through clear and collaborative decision making to enhance model risk governance.
Provide accurate information in compliance with regulatory requirements on both the existing model inventory and any changes to it.
Required Experience:
Masters or Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

Salary range for the position: $65,000 - 85,000 Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.

Background on the Position
The role will reside within the Firm Risk Management's Credit Risk Management department. The team is dedicated to covering the lending businesses within ISG (Institutional Securities Group) at a portfolio level, including analyzing the portfolio risk with each lending business, conducting stress loss analysis (centered around the Firm's CCAR submissions), and collaborating with other areas within Risk and the Business to manage and analyze the pipeline.
Primary Responsibilities
The role will focus on the ISG Lending activity within the Firm including running stress testing models, analyzing stress testing results, and reporting to management.
- Perform stress testing model runs and analyze results for regulatory stress tests (CCAR) as well as for ongoing business-as-usual stress loss estimates
- Collaborate with risk analytics and technology groups on model implementation and testing
- Create and deliver presentations to management audiences to aid in analysis and understanding of stress loss results
- Covering risk identification process for ISG Lending Credit including materiality assessments, material preparation and ad-hoc requests on risk ID process
- Ensure proper implementation of Governance and Controls including updating documentation and project management of recurring and ad-hoc deliverables
- Work with technology/perform UAT testing on projects to streamline and enhance existing stress testing models, data tables, and analysis tools - Bachelor's degree required
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Familiar with fixed income products such as loans, bonds, CDS, securitized products as well as fundamental financial/economic concepts
- Strong Excel skills including data lookups (e.g. Vlookup, Index/Match) and transformations (e.g. pivot tables) as well as writing logic-based formulas
- Strong mathematical skills, including exposure to fixed income mathematics and concepts
- Hard working team player/self-starter with a desire and willingness to learn, attention to detail, and problem solving skills

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $75,000 and $95,000 year at the commencement of employment.
