OVERVIEW Founder Brew, a new publication dedicated to exploring the real lives, decisions, and psychology of people building companies - from startups to small businesses to creative ventures-is looking for an editor to shape and lead the outlet. This is both a strategic and hands-on role that will allow you to shape the future of a brand new Morning Brew, Inc. publication. If you like the challenge of setting editorial strategy and helping reporters execute on stories, well, we've got the gig for you. As part of Morning Brew Inc's business-to-business (B2B) editorial team, Founder Brew sits alongside other professional publications: Marketing Brew, Retail Brew, HR Brew, Healthcare Brew, Revenue Brew, CFO and IT Brew. Founder Brew will tell the emotional and operational truths of building a business-across startups, small businesses, and "unsexy" real-world companies-so current and aspiring founders feel seen and better equipped to handle what comes their way. Reporting will be pragmatically optimistic, and divided between two modes: as-told-to, and traditional reporting. We'll publish the messy middle, resist PR gloss, and verify the facts behind first-person stories. WHAT YOU'LL DO * Manage day-to-day operations of the Founder Brew story and newsletter production process, including assigning/approving stories, editing pieces, and writing headlines. * Manage and coach a team of reporters. * Generate, develop, and execute ideas for non-newsletter products and other special editorial projects like podcasts and multimedia approaches. * Write stories if and as needed. * Uphold Morning Brew Inc.'s editorial guidelines, editing stories for high-level substance, Brew tone and voice, and standard copy. * Support optimization of existing editorial processes and establish new ones where needed. * Integrate in-house analyses of audience trends into broader editorial strategy. WHAT YOU'LL BRING * Experience reporting on or editing business stories * At least 8 years of top and line-editing experience. * Experience managing a team of journalists. * Ability to write in the Morning Brew Inc's style (engaging, informative, clever) * Flexible worker who is equally motivated by strategic, long-term thinking and hands-on execution. * Ability to intentionally experiment with, iterate on, and make hard decisions about new product offerings. * Excellent communication skills with a mindset for organization, planning, and collaboration. * Ability to operate in a high-pressure environment with tight deadlines. * Understanding of how to leverage multiple platforms (email, social media, etc.) to engage with the target audience. OVERVIEWAs part of our Account Operations department, the Client Activation Associate will be responsible for the management of cross-platform partnerships with Morning Brew's clients. They will be responsible for activating our integrated marketing partnerships. This role is client facing and will require acting as a point of contact for our clients throughout the execution process. You will collaborate across teams to take branded content ideas from development to delivery across our experiential, branded, custom, video and audio products. This includes budgeting and timeline development in the pre-sale process and managing all aspects of production in post-sale. In this role, you'll build and own a book of high-growth Emerging accounts and be goaled on the growth of this business. OVERVIEW As part of our Account Operations department, the Client Activation Associate will be responsible for the management of cross-platform partnerships with Morning Brew's clients. They will be responsible for activating our integrated marketing partnerships. This role is client facing and will require acting as a point of contact for our clients throughout the execution process. You will collaborate across teams to take branded content ideas from development to delivery across our experiential, branded, custom, video and audio products. OVERVIEWA senior individual contributor role, the Senior Associate Branded Content Writer's main responsibility will be writing compelling, engaging, and entertaining advertising content within our markets and finance categories. You'll bring a deep understanding of financial audiences and the ability to translate complex topics into clear, conversational, and on-brand storytelling. While your primary focus is markets and finance, you'll also contribute to campaigns across Morning Brew's Inc.'s portfolio, including The Morning Brew Daily newsletter, Tech Brew, Retail Brew, Marketing Brew, IT Brew, CFO Brew, HR Brew, Healthcare Brew, Revenue Brew, and more to come!). You will contribute to campaigns composed of a wide range of ad products, including newsletter placements, branded articles, interactive content, podcast ad reads, social video, and more. WHAT YOU'LL DO- Translate partner briefs/assets into 35-150 word advertorials (newsletter ads, podcast scripts, etc.) on a daily basis for markets/finance, B2B, and B2C partners- Work with our clients to produce long-form articles, interactives, or guides - Own the creative output and relationship between our Brew Markets franchise and high-value markets/finance partners- Partner closely with Sales, Creative Strategy, and clients to understand client goals and translate them into content that performs- Intake and internalize the larger marketing goals of our clients while balancing and advocating for what will resonate most with the broader Morning Brew Inc. audience- Process, negotiate, and implement creative feedback from brand partners- Audit, understand, and action on data from our Insights & Analytics team to inform what we say and how we say it, all while keeping partner goals and standards top of mind- Contribute writing to other facets of Morning Brew Inc.'s business (internal guidelines/resources, website copy, etc.)- Serve as a mentor to the associate writers on the team WHAT YOU'LL BRING- 4+ years of professional creative writing, copywriting, and/or content/marketing experience (bonus points if you have a killer portfolio that showcases your work)- 2-3 years experience writing for publications/brands/agencies serving retail investors or finance.- We're looking for a wordsmith in the truest sense of the word: You should have an expert command of the English language and use of voice.- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and project-manage your own work and time- Client readiness and communication skills- Thorough understanding of the full sales cycle and digital media operations - Experience working with multiple client categories- Financial Services and Markets writing experience is a requirement; experience in B2B or consumer categories is a plus!- Familiarity with Monday.com (or other relevant) project management systems- Passion for all Morning Brew Inc. brands COMPENSATION $85,000 - $90,000 DOE *Final offers for this job will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided, commensurate with experience.
