ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Provide crisis stabilization support and observation as part of a crisis team.
Manage crisis situations effectively using positive approaches and maintain a therapeutic setting while assessing triggers & precursors to symptoms and risk factors to assist in stabilizing their crisis symptoms.
Demonstrate knowledge of program protocols and behavior management in carrying out suicide precautions, welfare checks, detox protocol, and general treatment models as identified.
Respond to crisis situations calm & non-reactive by utilizing non-physical de-escalation techniques to intervene with in crisis in a safe manner to de-escalate situations whenever possible. Assists in facilitating and processing crisis debriefings with individuals after crisis events are resolved.
Collaborate with medical and law enforcement personnel as needed while protecting confidentiality in accordance with state and federal laws.
Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team, working in conjunction with therapists, case managers, peer support specialists, medication providers, and crisis care staff.
Assist with the admissions, discharges, frequent safety checks, appointments and transport of individuals.
Follow safety guidelines and provide training when providing observation and support in both the office and community settings to keep the individual, yourself, and other staff safe.
Complete all paperwork required, (i.e., progress notes, incident reports, timesheets, mileage, etc.) by the end of each shift.

Training Requirements
All Sales Consultants must attend and complete a four-day New Hire University (NHU) training program within two weeks of their official start date. This class may include overnight travel at the company's expense. Various online and computer-based training will be required throughout your employment with Victra.

As part of this amazing team of clinicians, you will have opportunities for training and continuing education in Think Thin/dysphagia, Abilities Care and dementia, stroke and neuro rehabilitation, and respiratory/COVID recovery programs.

Duties:
Effectively screens/evaluates patients and/ with communication, cognitive or swallowing disorders and develops appropriate plan of care following all regulatory and clinical practice standards.
Provides rehabilitative, skilled and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients with communication, cognitive and/or swallowing disorders per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness. Services are modified in relation to patient evaluation and referrals are made in relation to outcomes.
Provides consultation and counseling to patients, as well as families, caregivers and other service providers related to the speech disorders.
Provides comprehensive discharge summary of services provided per regulatory and clinical requirements.
Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintains patient records according to company policy.
Qualifications:
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
