This role supports the Business Practice and related sub-practices by executing strategic marketing and business development initiatives. The ideal candidate will operate at the intersection of event coordination, sponsorship management, content creation, technology, and attorney engagement, with direct interaction with firm leaders and attorneys.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Business Development Strategy
Draft, update, and maintain marketing materials including brochures, practice descriptions, attorney biographies, experience lists, and website content.
Prepare pitch materials, team sheets, and proposals, including support for RFPs.
Assist with deal experience collection and tracking.
Collaborate with attorneys to develop and promote content (articles, legal updates, etc.) via email and social media.
Prepare submissions for legal rankings and directories (gathering content, inputting edits, and formatting final submission documents).
Work with PR to maximize exposure for practice news, industry events, and recent developments.
Support the firm's social media efforts, including drafting content and campaigns.
Ensure consistent messaging and branding across all practice areas.
Event & Sponsorship Coordination
Manage and coordinate local and firm-wide events including receptions, seminars/webinars, conferences, and tradeshows.
Build and coordinate invitation lists, manage RSVPs, and provide on-site event support.
Support sponsorships including processing invoices, providing marketing materials, managing timelines, and fulfilling sponsorship deliverables (e.g., registration, ad submissions, table attendees).
Assist with follow-up from all events, including outreach and follow-up meetings.
Operational & Technical Support
Assist with managing the Business Practice's marketing budget, including invoice processing, credit card reconciliation, and tracking.
Assist with website content updates and proofing.
Provide support for short- and long-term projects and day-to-day requests.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (strongly preferred).
3+ years of experience in marketing and business development, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and basic HTML preferred.
Experience with CRM and marketing automation tools.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative, team-oriented approach with enthusiasm for tackling new challenges.
Ability to work independently and with individuals at all levels.

The salary range for this position in Century City, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Silicon Valley (Palo Alto), and Washington, D.C. is $95,000 - $125,000 and represents the firm's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual salary offered will be dependent on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, relevant certifications, geographic location, market demands, and specific business needs. An Alston Discovery Staff Attorney/Discovery & Analytics Consultant (“Staff Attorney”) is a hybrid full time salaried position with certain HR benefits. Staff Attorneys assist in the management and supervision of eDiscovery matters, privilege reviews and privilege logs, transactional due diligence projects, research projects, lease or contract reviews, and other work as assigned. They will be responsible for team building, knowledge sharing, and cross-training with our current hourly project attorneys, staff attorneys, and technology professionals to enable them to function at a higher level. Additional information about Staff Attorney duties is set forth below.
Candidates must be licensed attorneys in good standing in the state in which they live and work. Required Qualifications:
One year's recent experience as an Electrophysiology Lab RN
Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) Certification
Current ACLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications:
PALS or ENPC
RCES/RCIS Certification
Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position
Summary:
The Electrophysiology (EP) Lab RN plays a key role treating patients with heart failure, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, and cardiac arrhythmias. Working alongside electrophysiologists, they assist with arrhythmia ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implants, and medication-based treatments. The EP Lab RN is responsible for patient assessments, procedural support, conscious sedation, and post-procedure monitoring to ensure safe, effective care.
Essential Work Functions:
Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for EP lab patients and document findings accurately
Educate patients and families on electrophysiology procedures, pre-procedure expectations, and post-procedure care to ensure understanding and informed consent
Assist physicians with electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implantations
Administer medications, including conscious sedation, per physician orders
Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses throughout procedures
Identify and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed
Maintain sterile technique and assist with equipment preparation, setup, and troubleshooting to support seamless procedural workflow
Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans
Provide immediate post-procedure care, monitoring complications and ensuring stable recovery
Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
Required Essential Skills:
Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills
The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required
Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.

SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Ideal candidates should have the ability to work independently, communicate effectively, efficiently handle a shifting workload, and analyze complex situations.
